IPL 2026 Live Score for SRH vs. DC: SRH's third consecutive victory is set up by Abhishek's tenth T20 century.

Apr 21, 2026, 11:35 PM

SRH in the top four

That means SRH has won three in a row. On No. 2, that puts them on par with RCB and RR. SRH appears to be strong, but the other two still have a game to play. We'll see you tomorrow and leave you with a sneak peek at our final report.

Pay close attention to this. For the first time, Abhishek Sharma batted the entire 20-over IPL innings, but he still finished with 135 off 68. With the help of Heinrich Klaasen and Ishan Kishan, the resulting 242 for 2 was more than sufficient against Delhi Capitals, one of the IPL's hitting lightweights this year. With the victory, SRH was tied for second place with Rajasthan Royals and Royal Challengers Bengaluru, although the other teams still had a game to play.

Abhishek Sharma finished with 135, his second highest IPL score
Abhishek Sharma finished with 135, his second highest IPL score

With his ninth T20 century, Abhishek tied Virat Kohli for the most Indian centuries. He has more T20 hundreds than just three men. In addition to making his second appearance in the top five IPL scores, he tied his own record for the most sixes in an innings for an SRH batsman with ten.

It was always going to be difficult for DC to compete at home against a potent bowling lineup. With a fifty, Nitish Rana, who was mostly used as an offspinner for the three left-hand batsmen at the top, kept SRH at bay, but the asking rate continued to rise. Eshan Malinga and Sakib Hussain took three wickets in the tenth and eleventh overs to end the match, leaving DC 137 from 58 balls. Additionally, Rana went for 55 in his four as an offspinner.

Apr 21, 2026, 11:17 PM

4-0-32-4 Malinqa

Once again, Eshan Malinga has reversed the ball, but he has been astute enough to avoid becoming predictable. In between, he keeps slipping in slower balls. Malinga's final ball of the evening is a slower ball that takes Ashutosh out, giving him his fourth wicket.

Apr 21, 2026, 11:01 PM

Malinga takes a different

Tristan Stubbs is determined to use reverse ramps to counter Eshan Malinga's yorkers. He does a good job of nailing one and timing another, but ultimately succumbs to the identical shot on a slower ball. DC requires 77 off of 25.

Apr 21, 2026, 10:59 PM

Now it's three balls

27 Balls left when the asking rate reaches three per ball for the first time. With six wickets in hand

Apr 21, 2026, 10:40 PM

Malinga's second half

Since the beginning of the most recent IPL, Eshan Malinga has claimed 19 wickets after the tenth over. Prasidh Krishna is the only fast bowler who has taken more

Apr 21, 2026, 10:34 PM

Malinga claims two more wickets with old balls

Eshan Malinga has taken a wicket with his first ball in the second half of the innings. Nitish Rana mis-hit the ball for a long-on catch after he went a little too fast with a length ball. 57 off 30 is gone.

He then bowls the faster ball to take the leg and top of the middle. Who's out, too? Miller, David. Malinga is on a hat-trick with a score of 107 for 4.

Apr 21, 2026, 10:31 PM

Rahul is completely tossed

Eshan Malinga dropped KL Rahul early off his own bowling. Rahul has been having trouble speaking clearly all night, so that dip has just benefited SRH. Rahul would have been out for 14 off 10 if Malinga had taken the catch. He ends up with 37 off 23. You will take 23 off of 13 if you defend 242. Rahul ultimately smashed a full toss from Sakib Hussain that went right to deep square leg. DC 107 for 2 in ten overs. They currently require 13.6 per over.

Apr 21, 2026, 10:27 PM

Rana reaches the age of fifty

Nitish Rana has taken advantage of Shivang Kumar's left-arm wristspin to get over his early short-ball difficulty. His ability to perform well against spin that primarily turns away from him makes him unique. The ask is still challenging even if he has reached fifty off 27. In 9.1 overs, they are 102 for 1. In the back half, they still have to deal with three overs from Eshan Malinga.

Apr 21, 2026, 10:15 PM

Madushanka 3-0-24-1

You now understand why SRH was so eager to hire Dilshan Madushanka. In the first over, he swung the new ball; in the second, he wobbled it; and now, in the seventh over, he has returned to suffocate Nitish Rana with old-ball bowling. In seven overs, DC was just 67 for 1. The current estimate is 13.53 per over.

Apr 21, 2026, 10:07 PM

Rana's short lengths

Nitish Rana has been silent on the shorter distances but has scored 27 off 17 in the powerplay. Out of 17 balls, seven were shorter than ideal length. Eight of his goals have come from them, but one of them was off the glove when he didn't know where the ball was. In six overs, DC 59 for 1. It's all about getting by.

Apr 21, 2026, 9:46 PM

Madushanka is protective of himself

When you play your own countryman in the IPL, the competition is always a little more intense. With a six in the first over, Pathum Nissanka ruined Dilshan Madushanka's otherwise outstanding opening over, but Madushanka ultimately prevails. Nissanka gives him the charge at the beginning of the third over, but he only makes a catch to mid-off.

Following a first over of seam-up inswing bowling, Madushanka has gone wobbling seam. Nitish Rana is ranked third. In 2.1, it is 21 for 1.

I'm attempting to ascertain the playing conditions surrounding this, but is Liam Livingstone's fielding as a substitute acceptable? Head, Klaasen, Malinga, and Madushanka are the four foreign players that SRH has already utilised. Can you have a fifth foreign player, even if it's merely a backup fielder?

PS: This is proof. As long as there are no more than four foreign players on the pitch at any given time, you are allowed to use a fifth. Therefore, it's acceptable for Livingstone to enter after Travis Head has been replaced by an Impact Player. just like you were.

Apr 21, 2026, 9:38 PM

Madushanka arrives

In the most recent game, Dilshan Madushanka was scheduled to make his IPL debut; however, due to a collapse, SRH had to alter their plans and add an additional batter as the Impact Player. However, they have only lost two wickets today, thus Madushanka makes his debut and bowls the opening over as panned. To keep the DC openers honest, he gets some seam movement and inswing. However, Pathum Nissanka, a fellow countryman, did manage to hit one six over midwicket. DC 8 for 0 in a single over.

Apr 21, 2026, 9:26 PM

Abhishek hits through

Abhishek Sharma has only opened the innings and batted through a full 20-over innings twice in his career. The only other instance occurred in SMAT in 2022.

Apr 21, 2026, 9:21 PM

SRH reaches 242, and Abhishek Sharma maintains the orange cap

4 6 1 4 1 4

Heinrich Klaasen has been replaced on the orange cap table by Abhishek Sharma, although he may have slowed down due to weariness. Thus, while Abhishek bats with Heinrich Klaasen, the latter threatens to keep his orange cap. Then, in the last over, Abhishek finally hits a four off Mukesh Kumar, maintaining a three-run advantage over Klaasen.

Abhishek acknowledges that he hasn't practiced enough against death bowling and that DC bowled effectively at the end. But with 20 off the last over, Mukesh's night is destroyed.

Apr 21, 2026, 9:12 PM

4-0-40-0 Natarajan

Although it is strange to see T Natarajan not wearing the orange in Hyderabad, he has had a fantastic spell against ferocious hitters against his former team. He began on the 12th and finished on the 19th. By the way, not a single boundary was pursued by the 19th. With slower short balls serving as his alternate delivery, he has mostly bowled yorkers. In 19 overs, it is 222 for 2.

Apr 21, 2026, 9:01 PM

200 more on the 17th

Abhishek Sharma and Heinrich Klaasen bookended the over with fours over short third, but T Natarajan delivered a strong 17th over, primarily yorkers. The reverse ramp at Klaasen's is amazing. In 17 overs, SRH is currently 202 for 2.

Apr 21, 2026, 8:56 PM

The highest of the three

Abhishek Sharma has the greatest total of hundreds by an Indian, tied with Virat Kohli. David Warner, Babar Azam, and Chris Gayle are the only ones with more

Apr 21, 2026, 8:51 PM

Fast hundreds

Abhishek Sharma has smashed eight hundreds in fifty balls out of his nine. His first, which was 59 against Services in 2021, was the only one that required more than 50. Thanks to Sampath Bandarupalli

Apr 21, 2026, 8:50 PM

4-0-55-0 Rana

6 6 4 W 6 1

This tactical move has obviously failed. First and foremost, they brought in Nitish Rana as a bowler before Auqib Nabi. Although Abhishek Sharma's first and third overs were respectable, it is unjust to bowl a part-time player at a set. as seen by his last over. When fielding a straight drive, he does, however, get a run-out with a ricochet. Rana has actually aimed the ball in the direction of the stumps behind him, so it is not a random ricochet. SRH 183 for 2 in 15 overs; Abhishek 115 off 51.

Apr 21, 2026, 8:46 PM

Abhishek's ninth T20 hundred

Abhishek Sharma has demonstrated self-control. In a brief interview, even Dan Vettori stated that the pitch has performed better than they had expected. SRH hasn't performed well outside of the top four either. As a result, Abhishek has been starting slowly. Nevertheless, he has reached his hundred in just 47 balls. Give it some time to register. Heinrich Klaasen was also surpassed as this season's top run scorer. In 14.2, it is 172 for 2.

Apr 21, 2026, 8:42 PM

DC does not have a reverse

The circumstances are perfect for reverse swing. The outfield has some bare spots, particularly along the fence. There is not a single blade of grass on the dry pitch. Throws on the bounce, occasionally on two, have been sent in by the DC fielders. In the thirteenth and fourteenth overs, neither Mukesh Kumar nor T Natarajas had yet to find reverse. In 14 overs, SRH 160 for 1.

Apr 21, 2026, 8:23 PM

Kuldeep was defeated

6 4 1 6 1 4

Kuldeep Yadav is completely destroyed, but the wicket only provides brief respite as DC sneaks in another over of Nitish Rana. Ishan Kishan knocks two sweeping fours, one of which goes straight down the ground, while Abhishek Sharma charges him for a six. In eleven overs, it is 126 for 1. DC is considering a bit of a complete

Apr 21, 2026, 8:12 PM

Head is removed by Axar

After Axar Patel escaped without a boundary in his opening over, they are punishing him severely. However, Axar is fortunate when Travis Head smacks a high hop straight to deep midwicket two sixes into his second over, dismissing him for 37 off 26. SRH 97 for 1 in 8.5 overs.

Apr 21, 2026, 8:10 PM

Ones to the heavens

In 25 balls, Abhishek Sharma reaches his fifty. It has taken 25 balls since he is playing this innings inside himself. For the third time this IPL, he raises his index finger in celebration. He continues to celebrate by hitting a six onto the sight screen with a back-foot drive. He is 57 out of 26.

Apr 21, 2026, 8:01 PM

The majority of sixes

SRH's 70th six off the final ball of the powerplay surpassed RCB's 69 for the season thus far.

Apr 21, 2026, 8:00 PM

Abhishek and Head had yet another undefeated powerplay stand

Abhishek Sharma and Travis Head have batted through the powerplay for the second consecutive game. Almost, though. In the most recent game, Travis Head was discharged with one ball left. Despite playing inside their own parameters, they have managed to score 67 points. Abhishek Sharma is now 42 off of 19.

Apr 21, 2026, 7:54 PM

DC return to the table and lose

6 6 1 0 1w 0 6

After the hitters have been in for four overs, it might not be the best idea to bring Nitish Rana in for some offspin. Generally speaking, bowling offspin early is the goal. Not after four when they are 36 for 0. In the fifth over, both batters use field manipulation to hit three sixes. Now it is 56 for 0.

Apr 21, 2026, 7:49 PM

Just one off-spin over

DC leaves the table with their modest wins after sneaking in one over of offspin for just six runs. They will no longer be able to spin the wheel. Even yet, Lungi Ngidi, who was called on to bowl the fourth, is turning his slower balls more frequently than the majority of offspinners these days. But one of the slower ones turns out to be a delicious full throw, and Abhishek Sharma clears mid-off after charging at him as well. In four overs, Abhishek is currently 21 off 12 in 36 for 0.

Apr 21, 2026, 7:37 PM

The bowling is opened by Nitish Rana

Teams are now using offspinners against the SRH left-hand hitters at the top of the order, though it has taken some time. That is the main reason Nitish Rana was added to the team. After Mukesh Kumar is dismissed for nine in the opening over, he receives the new ball.

Rana uses a combination of sluggish offbreaks that are less than a length and arm balls. Every time they try to cut, there is no pace to assist them in placing the ball. At last, Abhishek muscles the last ball of the over mid-on. After two overs, SRH is 15 for 0.

Apr 21, 2026, 7:06 PM

DC asks SRH to bat first and brings in Nitish Rana

In IPL 2026, Axar Patel asked Sunrisers Hyderabad to bat first, something they enjoyed in their previous game, while maintaining his 100% strike rate at the toss. Ishan Kishan, the captain of SRH, acknowledged that the choice in this game wasn't as simple. Given the cloud cover at the time of the toss, he most likely wanted to field himself.

By replacing Auqib Nabi with Nitish Rana, DC improved their unsteady batting. As a result, DC's bowling options outside of the five primary bowlers were Rana and Tristan Stubbs. Rana might be sent in to bowl off-spin to the top three left-handed batters. Although Ashutosh Sharma and Karun Nair were the most likely contenders to be the Impact Player, Nabi did stay on the bench.

The addition of left-arm spinner Harsh Dubey to SRH's starting lineup meant that Dilshan Madushanka and Praful Hinge would be replaced as Impact Players. In case the pitch proved to be extremely slow, they also had Harshal Patel on the bench.

Sunrisers Hyderabad 1 Abhishek Sharma, 2 Travis Head, 3 Ishan Kishan (capt.), 4 Heinrich Klaasen, 5 Salil Arora (wk), 6 Aniket Verma, 7 Nitish Kumar Reddy, 8 Shivang Kumar, 9 Harsh Dubey, 10, Sakib Hussain, 11 Eshan Malinga

SRH bench: R Smaran, Praful Hinge, Liam Livingstone, Dilshan Madushanka, Harshal Patel

Delhi Capitals 1 Pathum Nissanka, 2 KL Rahul (wk), 3 Sameer Rizvi, 4 Axar Patel (capt.), 5 David Miller, 6 Tristan Stubbs, 7 Nitish Rana, 8 Lungi Ngidi, 9 Kuldeep Yadav, 10 T Natarajan, 11 Mukesh Kumar

DC bench Tripurana Vijay, Ashutosh Sharma, Karun Nair, Dushmantha Chameera, Auqib Nabi.

Apr 21, 2026, 6:29 PM

Will there be a swing in the opposite direction today?

It's noteworthy to note that last weekend, SRH used reverse swing to win the match after DC struggled in the afternoon against reverse swing from Hazlewood and Bhuvneshwar. With bowlers that can execute reverse and favourable conditions in Hyderabad to prepare the ball for reverse swing, the SRH team is prepared to employ reverse.

Apr 21, 2026, 6:05 PM

Stubbs masters every stage

Stubbs has done a fantastic job filling in as the finisher at the IPL. He scored 223 runs in the final [17 to 20] in his first season with DC in 2024 at a strike rate of 297.33, which was the highest of any batter who had played more than 50 balls there. He struck at 201.47 in 2025, and he has contributed significantly to two of DC's three victories this season.

Apr 21, 2026, 5:51 PM

The best-kept secret of SRH

When the ball is ready, Malinga's arm lowers slightly, the seam tilts towards the fine leg, and the ball swings more than it does for other upright-seam old-ball swing practitioners. As a result, he bowls mostly in the second half of the innings; for Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in the IPL, the second half has accounted for 60% of his deliveries.

Apr 21, 2026, 5:25 PM

Belter

In evening games, Hyderabad's Pitch No. 2 is a genuine belter. This is the strip where SRH failed to defend even 245 against Punjab Kings last season and scored 277 against Mumbai Indians in the 2024 IPL. Last season, SRH also scored 286 against the Rajasthan Royals in a day game. The encounter against MI from the previous season, which was a 143 meets 146 match, is the only exception.

Apr 21, 2026, 5:10 PM

Kuldeep fights SRH with vigour

In his past two matches against SRH, Kuldeep Yadav has shown mixed results. When he previously played them, he ran through the middle order and wowed with 3 for 22. However, he was hit for 55 runs in the previous match as SRH scored 266. One of the most eagerly awaited clashes of the evening will be Kuldeep's wristspin against SRH's hitters.

Apr 21, 2026, 4:55 PM

The head needs to run

The numbers that Travis Head has recently posted in Hyderabad are not typical of him. Prior to it, he had a strike rate of just 100 in an 18-ball innings against Rajasthan Royals and only 115 in a 20-ball innings against CSK. Even his 36 against Punjab Kings was clumsy, with a good number of mishits going over the boundary. This season, we have yet to witness the pivotal Head innings. Head scored a 32-ball 89 the previous time SRH defeated DC. Is it possible for him to perform an encore on Tuesday?

Apr 21, 2026, 4:42 PM

Axar is ready to go

Head coach Hemang Badani stated on match eve that Axar is fit to start after retiring due to cramping in his muscles during DC's most recent game. There isn't a clear front-runner for DC's No. 3 position, and Ashutosh Sharma and Karun Nair might compete for the team's final batting spot.

Abishek Porel, Rana, and Prithvi Shaw are further potential batting options for DC. If DC decides to use at least two of them as openers, Pathum Nissanka may return to the bench, creating room for Dushmantha Chameera or Kyle Jamieson. Mitchell Starc is still unavailable.

Apr 21, 2026, 4:25 PM

Cummins has not yet been mentioned

Kishan had stated before the toss that Dilshan Madushanka would be a member of SRH's playing XII against Chennai Super Kings, but he wasn't fielded; instead, the squad chose to include Liam Livingstone halfway through their batting innings. The two will continue to compete for the last position for an overseas player.

Pat Cummins is still unavailable; his return is likely scheduled for the Rajasthan Royals game on April 25. The injured David Payne has been replaced in the team by Gerald Coetzee, but his availability for Tuesday's match is still unknown.

Apr 21, 2026, 4:11 PM

A story about two highest orders

Although Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) and Delhi Capitals (DC) are tied for first place in the points standings, their top-order strategies couldn't be more dissimilar: SRH's top three have been the most explosive in IPL 2026, scoring at a pace of 11.65, while DC is ranked ninth at 9.28.

Neither approach is intrinsically better than the other. Results are influenced by conditions, targets, and bowling quality just as much as by intent. However, DC may need to win a few crucial top-order skirmishes in order to get closer to SRH's template, at least for a night, as Hyderabad is predicted to provide a high-scoring surface.

Six-hitting is the first. Out of all the teams, DC's top three have only hit 12 sixes in five games. In comparison, SRH has scored 34, establishing the tone early and reliably.

The third position is the second issue. Even though DC tried seven combinations to address their top-level instability from the previous season, the one-down position is still unstable. In that position, Nitish Rana, Sameer Rizvi, and Karun Nair have each returned scores of 15, 0, 5, 6, and 5 with strike rates below 100. Two fast wickets have frequently been the outcome, halting any momentum gained during the powerplay.

In comparison, even though Travis Head is much below his best, SRH has managed to maintain equilibrium. Heinrich Klaasen and Nitish Kumar Reddy have taken control in their potent middle order thanks to Abhishek Sharma's rapid returns and Ishan Kishan's stability at No. 3.

Nevertheless, DC's skilled middle order is their greatest asset. In the second half of the innings, Axar Patel and the South African duo of David Miller and Tristan Stubbs make up a strong engine room that could take advantage of SRH's more inexperienced bowling.

Eshan Malinga is one of those bowlers who stands out for his capacity to produce reverse swing, which could transform the course of a game. However, as the season goes on, opposition hitters can find it easier to understand younger bowlers like Sakib Hussain and Pravin Hinge.

While neither team is flawless, winning head-to-head matches does not need perfection. Even though DC may be a little behind, they still have the goods to give Hyderabad two points because skill application and match awareness frequently take precedence over quality.
