IPL 2026 Live Score for MI versus SRH: Travishek and Klaasen easily ace 244-chase

MI in turbulent waters, SRH on the rise

There is not much time left for the Mumbai Indians to turn their season around when they play Sunrisers Hyderabad at the Wankhede today. With just two victories in seven games, they are tied for last place in terms of points with LSG. They desperately need some rejuvenation because they have only won one of their previous five games.

In thirty balls, Heinrich Klaasen smashed four sixes and seven fours
In thirty balls, Heinrich Klaasen smashed four sixes and seven fours

Additionally, they face an optimistic SRH, who have won four straight games thanks to the return of their legendary skipper Pat Cummins. Along with other in-form players, Abhishek Sharma is also giving it his all at the top of the order, and they will want to continue doing what they have been doing lately. A victory would put them one step closer to securing a postseason berth, which appears to be an unattainable goal for tonight's hosts.

For the Mumbai Indians, Maharaj

Keshav Maharaj, a left-arm spinner from South Africa, was signed by the Mumbai Indians to replace Mitchell Santner, who was sidelined for the 2026 Indian Premier League due to a shoulder injury.

Maharaj's only prior IPL appearances were with RR in 2024. Nonetheless, he has participated in a number of franchise competitions and guided the Pretoria Capitals to the SA20 this year.

Rising SRH takes on faltering MI

In an attempt to climb the points standings, two teams with different fortunes square off. Sunrisers Hyderabad, who have won four straight games after dropping their first four, are on one end. They have always had a potent batting lineup, but their bowling is also improving, and Pat Cummins' return has strengthened them even further. A victory would put them ahead of RR, who are now ranked fourth in the standings.

The Mumbai Indians, on the other hand, have already dropped five of their previous six games. In IPL 2026, not much has gone well for them. Is it possible for them to return home?

Apr 29, 2026, 6:35 PM

Is it possible for MI to return?

We have an update from Sruthi Ravindranath, who arrived at Wankhede early: "Will Jacks is here, and he’s marked his run up." It appears that Jacks will almost certainly start, but what about Rohit Sharma? Is Keshav Maharaj going to play? In a short while, we will learn everything there is to know about it.

Apr 29, 2026, 6:46 PM

SRH wants to keep up their winning streak

Then there's SRH. They will want to stick to the same formula as they have had the most of their previous four games going well. With the return of Pat Cummins and the development of Eshan Malinga and Sakib Hussain in their bowling attack, they seem to have discovered a winning formula after experiencing injury and availability problems in the first few games.

Only one of SRH's previous six games versus MI and just two of their previous nine at the Wankhede have been victories. They have a strong possibility of breaking that record given their present performance.

Apr 29, 2026, 6:53 PM

Who is the centre of attention?

From 2018 until 2024, Ishan Kishan will return to the location that served as his home over seven IPL seasons. His T20 career was greatly influenced by MI, but he has improved at SRH, increasing his strike rate from 148.83 in 2024 to 152.58 in 2025 and 198.72 in 2026. At No. 3, he has offered a potent blend of ball-striking and dependability, and his IPL 2026 average of 39 is also his second-highest in a season. Kishan enters this match fresh off a game-winning 74 against Rajasthan Royals. Last season, he made just 2 and 1 versus MI.

With eight wickets in five games, Afghanistan's 20-year-old spinner AM Ghazanfar is MI's leading wicket-taker this season. With an economy rate of 8.61, he has mostly played in the middle overs and provided control. One of the top five spinners this season, Ghazanfar works well against both left-handed and right-handed batsmen. On Wednesday, MI hopes he can slow down the SRH express.

MI bats in Mumbai without de Kock and Rohit

Mumbai Indians' decision to bat against Sunrisers Hyderabad

In a pivotal group match against Sunrisers Hyderabad in Mumbai, Mumbai Indians skipper Hardik Pandya unexpectedly chose to bat after winning the toss.

Hardik claimed that it was a "breezy, slightly cold evening than usual" and that he did not anticipate dew to have a significant influence on his choice to bat. MI made several adjustments on their end. Hardik said the former skipper will "take a couple of more games" because Rohit Sharma is still not well. Mitchell Santner is out of the event because of a shoulder ailment, and Quinton de Kock is also out owing to a wrist issue.

According to the squad sheet, Ryan Rickelton and Will Jacks were scheduled to bat first. Trent Boult has been added to MI's batting starting XI, and Robin Minz plays his first game of the season. The Impact Player might be either Krish Bhagat or Shardul Thakur.

Pat Cummins, the captain of SRH, stated that he anticipated bowling on a tacky pitch. Due to the potential for dew, they have chosen Dubey's finger spin over Shivang Kumar's wrist spin. The Impact Player might be Aniket Verma.

SRH has won four straight games going into the match. With 10 points, they are now ranked fourth in the standings; a victory today would move them higher. Meanwhile, MI has had difficulties. They have only won two of their last seven games, placing them tenth in the standings. Even more concerning, they have dropped three of their last four home games, including a record-breaking 103-run defeat to the Chennai Super Kings.

Mumbai Indians bat-first XI: 1 Ryan Rickelton (wk), 2 Will Jacks, 3 Naman Dhir, 4 Suryakumar Yadav, 5 Tilak Varma, 6 Hardik Pandya(capt), 7 Robin Minz, 8 Trent Boult, 9 Jasprit Bumrah, 10 AM Ghazanfar, 11 Ashwani Kumar

MI bench: Mayank Rawat, Raghu Sharma, Shardul Thakur, Krish Bhagat, Raj Bawa

Sunrisers Hyderabad bowling-first XI: 1 Travis Head, 2 Abhishek Sharma, 3 Ishan Kishan (wk), 4 Henrich Klaasen, 5 Nitish Kumar Reddy, 6 Salil Arora, 7 Pat Cummins (capt), 8 Harsh Dubey, 9 Eshan Malinga, 10 Praful Hinge, 11 Sakib Hussain

SRH bench: R Smaran, Aniket Verma, Liam Livingstone, Shivang Kumar, Harshal Patel

Apr 29, 2026, 7:29 PM

Report on a pitch

Regarding the square limits, there is a bias: 61 metres to one side and 67 metres to the other. 72 metres hit the ground directly. When batters are batting at the North End, there is a beautiful covering of grass close to the excellent length area, and it becomes slightly barer at the opposite end. Ian Bishop believes an exciting competition may be in store and believes that slowing down could be crucial.

Apr 29, 2026, 7:34 PM

Has Hardik made the right decision?

The team that won the toss had opted to bowl at Wankhede in the previous 21 games.

Apr 29, 2026, 7:43 PM

How is MI going to bat first?

With enough movement and bounce to cause problems for Ryan Rickelton and Will Jacks, Pat Cummins has gotten off to a respectable start with the new ball. Jacks ends the opening over by lofting Cummins over mid-on to start the MI boundary counter. However, Praful Hinge has been hit for runs, like he did against the Rajasthan Royals. Rickelton is swept over deep midwicket by the opening ball, which is exactly in his arc. After the first two overs, MI reaches 21 for 0 thanks to Jacks' square drive and fortunate thickish outside edge over the keeper's head for four.

Apr 29, 2026, 7:57 PM

MI is not present

Hinge is right in the middle of the action on the field. The ball seemed to be following him after he was hit for 15 runs in his first over. Eshan Malinga is top-edged by Rickelton towards Hinge at short fine leg, but Hinge is slow to react, causing the ball to go short. The ball falls short once more after Jacks flicks it to Hinge at short fine leg.

After a quiet first over, MI has quickly taken the lead. Before Jacks carves him over extra cover, Rickelton hits back-to-back fours against Cummins, one to the deep midwicket fence and the other straight down the ground.

Apr 29, 2026, 8:16 PM

MI openers are really successful

The Mumbai Indians' first partnership has been a game of musical chairs. They appear to have found success with their fourth opening pairing of the season, which is the Will Jacks-Ryan Rickelton stand. The two have helped MI get off to a fast start by quickly adjusting to the surface's tempo. Before this game, MI's powerplay run-rate was only 8.55; they have now reached 13. Additionally, the two hitters are matching each other shot for shot. Rickelton finishes the opening six overs with 37 off 18 with three fours and three sixes, while Jacks finishes at 38 off 18 with five fours and two sixes.

MI scores 78 in the powerplay, which is their second-highest total for the season. SRH is looking for solutions. The powerplay run-rate for MI versus SRH was 13. Coming into the game, they had gone at just 8.55 in the first six overs

Apr 29, 2026, 8:27 PM

Rickelton hits fifty

Ryan Rickelton scored a blazing 81 against KKR to start IPL 2026, but he had to miss the next few games due to Quinton de Kock's century and three single-digit scores in the following four games. But Ricks is making the most of the opportunity that de Kock's injury has given him. After hitting over 200 during the powerplay, he proceeded to attack Nitish Kumar Reddy, hitting him for a four and a six to reach his fifty off just 23 balls.

MI achieved their fastest IPL 2026 century in just 7.4 overs. Their previous best came against KKR in 8.1 overs.

Apr 29, 2026, 8:35 PM

SRH retaliates

Jacks and Rickelton had quickly reached 93 for 0 in seven overs, but Jacks was dismissed by Cummins' brilliant bowling change. Jacks is tricked into a fake shot by Nitish Kumar Reddy, who gets the ball to float fuller outside off stump. Suryakumar begins with a four carved beyond backwards point, but as he pulls an Eash Malinga slower bouncer to deep backwards square leg, his terrible form persists. Rickelton is the key to MI's ongoing assault.

Apr 29, 2026, 8:53 PM

Rickelton is leading the charge

Shovelling to deep midwiket, Naman Dhir has fallen to Hinge. However, Rickelton cannot be stopped. He plays a swivel-pull against Sakib past short fine leg after punishing Cummins by smacking him through mid-off. However, he hasn't given it his all against Harsh Dubey's spin. With a strike rate of 314.3, he hammered the spinner for 22 runs in seven balls.

Apr 29, 2026, 9:03 PM

The Royal Rickel-ton

That's how you turn things around! Rickelton started IPL 2026 with a blazing 81 against KKR, but Quinton de Kock's surge in form and three single-digit scores in the following four games prompted him to sit out. However, Rickelton has returned due to de Kock's injury, and what a triumph! By first blasting Reddy past short fine leg and then scorching a flat six the following ball, he sprints through the nineties. Rickelton celebrates a 44-ball century with a leap and a fist pump when a slower ball is pulled to the leg side. The helmet is then put on. Wahat a century! What a fantastic knock. And he's not finished yet.

In just 16 overs, MI had quickly reached 202 for 3. Here, is 250 on the cards?

Rickelton's 44-ball century is the fastest by a Mumbai Indians batter in IPL history. Jayasuriya's previous best was 45 balls.

Apr 29, 2026, 9:36 PM

For five, MI smoke 243

These have been four strong death overs from SRH, which may sound humorous after MI smoked 243. MI finished on 243 for 5 after managing 41 runs in the final four overs after being 202 for 3 after 16 overs. Malinga, who was undoubtedly the bowler of the evening, concluded with incredible figures of 1 for 29 after Cummins bowled an economical 17th over, giving up just six runs. Rickelton ensured that the innings ended on a high note, but Hardik mistimed Sakib to long-off for an ambitious 15-ball 31. He pulled a slower bouncer past the keeper after clubbing a knee-high Hinge full toss straight down the ground.

Rickelton ends his innings with 10 fours and eight sixes, scoring 123 off 55 balls. When batting first, MI hit 243, their highest total in IPL history.

In the IPL, Rickelton's score of 123* is the highest for a MI batter.

Apr 29, 2026, 10:04 PM

SRH has left!

In a 244-chase, you wouldn't expect SRH to give up. Abhishek Sharma and Travis Head are both away. Abhishek's second ball picks first-over Trent Boult, who hasn't fired this season, inside-out over covers once more. Head then hits Boult as he tonks Bumrah to the ground for a six.

He begins by slicing Boult to the left of the deep backwards point. The ball breaks through Naman Dhir's hands for six after he fails to reach it in time to his left while it is at catching height. Boult is then flicked over deep backwards point after Head cuts him over deep point.

After three overs, SRH has quickly reached 43 for 0.

Apr 29, 2026, 10:15 PM

Head, Abhishek sprints off

They claimed that the best strategy to defeat Abhishek and Head is to use offspin. They were mistaken. Will Jacks bowled the fifth over, and Abhishek lifted him over the mid-on fielder's first ball. Head then dumped him over mid-on once more after a dot ball. Then Head desired a piece of Jacks. He blasted the offie through midwicket for a 19-run over after smoking him over long-on.

In IPL 2026, AM Ghazanfar was MI's powerplay enforcer. "Not on my watch," says the head. But he ought to have been fired. Dhir misjudged his jump and missed a second grab after a skewed drive went over him at backwards point. Head finished the over with a delicate touch after responding with a thunderous slog sweep.

After five overs, SRH is 74 for 0!

Apr 29, 2026, 10:22 PM

In the powerplay, Travishek smokes 92

It was brutal; MI had scored 78 runs in the MI. SRH has returned with 92! Bumrah isn't even being spared. I swear, what ball is striking this? Head replies to Bumrah's full and precise slot on the stumps by hitting him straight down the ground for a 99-meter six. Head carves Bumrah over backwards point after he follows with a slower ball. "I'm not staying behind," declares Abhishek. Bumrah is flayed over deep point as he charges down. It's time to replace the ball. Bumrah's first two overs had cost him 28 runs. After six, SRH is 92 for 0!

Apr 29, 2026, 10:28 PM

What a powerplay!

92 is MI's joint-highest powerplay surrender ever.

Apr 29, 2026, 10:39 PM

Going on a rampage

While it requires extra effort to outperform Abhishek in terms of strike rate, Head has been moving at a breakneck pace in Mumbai. Without a doubt, he's ridden his luck, but he's tonking them! Thus far in IPL 2026, Ashwani Kumar has been reliable. Abhishek introduces him immediately following the powerplay and smokes him through the covers. Head then challenges him, reaching a 20-ball half-century by going 6, 6, 4. What a blow so far, and he's far from finished.

Apr 29, 2026, 10:47 PM

MI changes the course of the game

Oh, this game is changing so fast. SRH was going at 15.75 runs per over, and the needed rate had fallen to less than 10, so there was no stopping them. However, after just two balls, AM Ghazanfar has transformed this game. He starts by taking Abhishek away, which causes a backwards point error. Ishan Kishan, who is now in form, is chopping back on the very next ball, and Wankhede has found its voice.

But hold on, MI isn't finished yet. Head squeezes a longer ball to extra cover after Hardik returns to deliver his second over and prises his scalp. MI has barely recovered in two overs.

Apr 29, 2026, 11:09 PM

Klaasen's assault

With three quick wickets, MI had somewhat reversed the situation, but Klaasen was not going to keep quiet. He struck Ghazanfar, the finest bowler for MI that night, over midwicket and then clubbed him over deep midwicket. Then, in an attempt to gain the upper hand, he attacked Ashwani and hit him four fours in one over. Despite Hardik's outstanding 14th over, Klaasen managed to score a crucial boundary with the needed rate was still less than 10 runs per over.

Apr 29, 2026, 11:18 PM

Klaasen's attack

Heinrich Klaasen entered the game just as MI was trying to find a way back into it, and he once again helped SRH win. Klaasen has had a steady season and once again demonstrated his significance. He started by taking on AM Ghazanfar, MI's finest bowler of the evening, and thrashed him for a four and six, peppering the deep midwicket boundary as the needed rate crept to 11 an over. The needed rate was then raised to 9.50 per over when he hit four fours in an Ashwani Kumar over.

He didn't even spare Bumrah, hitting him over extra cover for a luxurious six. He then went inside-out over extra cover once more, this time against Ghazanfar, to reach a fifty off 22 balls. However, a reverse slap over backwards point was the night's best shot.

Apr 29, 2026, 11:34 PM

SRH destroys MI

Mumbai Indians 243 for 5 (Rickelton 123*, Jacks 46, Hinge 2-54) were defeated by Sunrisers Hyderabad 249 for 4 (Head 76, Klaasen 65*, Abhishek 45, Ghazanfar 2-51) by six wickets.

In one of the IPL 2026 innings, Ryan Rickelton scored an undefeated 123 off 55 balls, the best score ever recorded by a Mumbai Indians hitter in the history of the competition. However, in yet another run-fest at Wankhede Stadium, it was insufficient against Sunrisers Hyderabad's batting prowess. At Wankhede Stadium, MI defied convention and batted first for the first time in 22 games. They scored 243 for 5, their greatest first-innings score in the IPL, thanks to Rickelton's incredible tonne. It was easily chased down by SRH with eight balls remaining and six wickets.

For the first wicket, Abhishek Sharma and Travid Head combined for 129 runs, 93 of which came during the powerplay. SRH had the fourth-highest successful chase in the IPL because to Heinrich Klaasen's unbeaten 65 off 30 and Salil Arora's 30 not out off ten balls.

PBKS vs. RR live score, IPL 2026: Ferreira and Dubey give PBKS their season's first defeat

Apr 28, 2026, 4:27 PM

How can the Punjab Kings' batting be stopped?

In the powerplay, Priyansh Arya kicks down the door. Prabhsimran Singh maintains a fast-paced storyline. Cooper Connolly, a rookie, leaves a lasting impression. And Shreyas Iyer enters the room as if he already knows how it would end. Marcus Stoinis and Shashank Singh make brief but powerful cameos if anything is left undone.

They scored the most runs (3140) of any IPL club in a single season in 2025. They've improved on that this year, scoring at 11.74 runs per over in their six hitting innings. In the IPL, no team has ever scored that many runs. Their batting average per wicket of 43.83, which is the highest of any side in all IPL seasons, is what poses the most threat.

In their opening encounter of the season, do the Rajasthan Royals (RR) have enough bowling to defeat them? Well, perhaps.
In the powerplay, Yashasvi Jaiswal got off to a great start.

Apr 28, 2026, 5:15 PM

Do the Rajasthan Royals possess the necessary firepower?

Jofra Archer's 13 IPL 2026 wickets are worth 17.3 impact wickets since he has bowled so effective against top-order batsmen. In IPL 2026, his ability to produce wicket-taking balls in his first over—three times on the first ball itself—might be the ideal early shock to PBKS.

Even though his eight wickets don't show it, Nandre Burger has quietly had the upper hand over the majority of batsmen. This season, he has had the greatest percentage of incorrect strokes of any bowler, at 46%.

However, bowling well by itself is insufficient. RR will still require more than simply Vaibhav Sooryavanshi's blitz and Yashasvi Jaiswal's consistency, even if PBKS scores 30 less runs than normal. With only a half century, a strike rate of 126, and an average of 20.6, their Nos. 4 through 8 are still among the poorest this season. Forget the two points against PBKS until that aspect of their game improves, but RR runs the risk of falling farther in the standings.

Apr 28, 2026, 5:44 PM

Will Parag find his form again?

After a great start to the season, PBKS spinner Yuzvendra Chahal has lost his effectiveness. He has only taken one wicket in his last four games, with an economy rate of 11.1. Chahal's ability to eke out dots is one of his skills, but it has also diminished during this time, averaging only one per over. Because he is having trouble applying pressure, he is also failing to take wickets. Has the greatest wicket-taker in IPL history lost his spark?

Everyone in the RR camp will tell you that Riyan Parag is hitting it well at the nets when you ask them about his form during press conferences. But Parag's stats are even worse than Hetmyer's, with 88 runs in eight innings at a strike rate of 112.82. Giving him a break from the XII is a more difficult choice because he is the captain. When will some significant runs on the park result from Parag's deft touch in the nets?

Apr 28, 2026, 6:17 PM

Can PBKS be stopped by RR?

With six victories in seven games and one washout, Punjab Kings have had an incredible start to the 2026 Indian Premier League. With seven balls remaining, PBKS chased down 265 (!) in the previous game. Priyansh Arya is unstoppable, Prabhsimran Singh maintains a fast-paced plot, Shreyas Iyer is acting like Shreyas Iyer, and rookie Coopper Connolly is performing at his peak. When the two teams play each other for the first time this season, do RR have the bowling to stop them? Well, perhaps.

While Ravindra Jadeja and Ravi Bishnoi have been reliable, Jofra Archer has been outstanding against top-order batters, and Nandre Burger has subtly outperformed most batters.

Apr 28, 2026, 6:43 PM

Is the bowling of PBKS a problem?

Their economy rate is 10.38 during the powerplay, 10.06 during the middle overs, and 10.33 during the final overs. They frequently appeared to be out of choices after giving up more than 190 runs in five of the seven innings (one game was wiped out). In addition to Arshdeep Singh and Marco Jansen, Vijaykumar Vyshak and Xavier Bartlett have also struggled. Yuzvendra Chahal has been reliable, but the fast bowlers must improve.

For this game, should PBKS start Lockie Ferguson?

Apr 28, 2026, 7:12 PM

RR brings in Punja and Shanaka, then bowls

The Rajasthan Royals choose to bowl against the Punjab Kings.

In the final IPL 2026 match at New Chandigarh, Rajasthan Royals [RR] skipper Riyan Parag chose to bowl against Punjab Kings [PBKS] after winning the toss. They replaced Shimron Hetmyer with all-rounder Dasun Shanaka and Ravi Bishnoi with legspinner Yash Raj Punja.

Parag claimed that the "cloud cover and little showers as well" influenced his choice to bowl.

Shreyas Iyer, the captain of PBKS, added that he was hoping to bowl because the "wicket was covered for a couple of days". Suryansh Shedge replaced Shashank Singh in one of PBKS's two forced changes. In his first game of the season, fast bowler Lockie Ferguson takes Xavier Bartlett's place.

Shreyas also sent Azmatalluah Omarzai his sincere sympathies for the passing of his mother.

PBKS has not lost a game in the competition thus far, indicating that they are in excellent form. They achieved the most successful T20 chase in the previous game, chasing down 265 with seven balls remaining. They have already won six of their seven games, with one being cancelled. Before returning to winning ways against the Lucknow Super Giants, RR had a two-game losing streak after starting the season with four straight victories. They were defeated by Sunrisers Hyderabad three days prior to the match.

Rajasthan Royals bowling-first XI: 1 Yashasvi Jaiswal, 2 Vaibhav Sooryavanshi, 3 Dhruv Jurel (wk), 4 Riyan Parag (capt), 5 Donovan Ferreira, 6 Dasun Shanaka, 7 Ravindra Jadeja, 8 Jofra Archer, 9 Brijesh Sharma, 10 Nandre Burger, 11 Yash Raj Punja

RR bench: Ravi Bishnoi, Ravi Singh, Tushar Deshpande, Shubham Dubey, Shimron Hetmyer

Punjab Kings batting-first XI: 1 Priyansh Arya, 2 Prabhsimran Singh (wk), 3 Cooper Connolly, 4 Shreyas Iyer (capt), 5 Nehal Wadhera, 6 Marcus Stoinis, 7 Suryansh Shedge, 8 Marco Jansen, 9 Lockie Ferguson, 10 Arshdeep Singh, 11 Yuzvendra Chahal

PBKS bench: Vishnu Vinod, Vijaykumar Vyshak, Xavier Bartlett, Harpreet Brar, Musheer Khan

Apr 28, 2026, 7:25 PM

For RR, no Bishnoi

Interestingly, RR replaced one of their best spinners, Bishnoi, with a rookie, Yash Raj Punja. It's a perplexing choice despite the element of surprise being a factor against a team full of right-handers. In the one over he bowled against SRH, Bishnoi did go for runs, but you don't discard one of your best spinners after a few difficult games, do you?

Ferguson was brought in by PBKS, which was anticipated, but Shreyas Iyer claims that the other was a forced change.

Pitch Report: Square bounds are slightly skewed, with 70 metres on one side and 64 metres on the other. Danny Morrison adds, "There was some rain around, and it is a very good surface. He does not expect a team to be 8-6 like last night, even though there could be some help for the pacers early." Deep Dasgupta ends by adding that it should be a decent batting surface since otherwise the ball can skid on.

Apr 28, 2026, 7:38 PM

Archer did not take a first-over wicket

No first ball wicket for Jofra Archer, but Prabhsimran Singh has got a boundary early and RR are 8 for 0 after the first over. Negotiating Archer's first over is crucial because, in the IPL 2026, he struck five times, easily the most this season.

Apr 28, 2026, 7:44 PM

You are a star, Priyansh Arya!

People are waxing poetic about Priyansh Arya because of this; he truly is exceptional. Before the game, his powerplay strike percentage was 260.27, which is the highest of the season. And it will only get worse. He pulls when Nandre Burger tests him with a short ball that is headed for deep square leg, but his timing is off. Burger is dragged to the left of mid-on and becomes somewhat fuller on the subsequent ball. The next picture is quite unique! Burger delivered a back-of-a-length ball outside off stump, which wasn't at all terrible.

What then does Arya do? He plays a clean six with an on-the-up aerial backfoot punch over covers while standing tall! The ball that follows is sliced over the backwards point. Next, Arya has some luck as he defeats Burger by going for 21 in his first over.

Against Arya, Archer

Archer's experience versus Arya's bravery. A shout, two fours, and a wicket. What a trade

In IPL 2026, Archer has been on fire. He catches Arya outside edge through where the first slip would have been with a beautiful, good-length ball that rises sharply over off stump. However, Archer looks back at his captain Riyan and nearly yells at him because there isn't a slip in place. A slip occurs, and Arya edges Archer once again over Jaiswal's head. Jaiswal reaches for it with his fingertips but is unable to grab it. Arya sprints off after two fours in four balls, leaving Archer unlucky. But he's not giving up, is he?

The fast bowler returns with a thunderbolt that is longer in length and bowled just outside off at 150.1 kph. Arya tries to clear mid-on, but she makes a mistake, and Burger finishes the job. Archer's expression was one of relief and happiness. This duel is won by the bowler.

65 PBKS strikes on a powerplay

In the IPL 2026 powerplay, Priyansh Arya's opening partner Prabhsimran is not far behind with 260.71. In the first six overs of the season, his strike rate of 188.57 is the fourth-highest of anyone who has faced more than 60 balls during this phase. He particularly likes Nandre Burger, and after pumping him for two fours in the previous over, he smashes him for 19 off 10 balls, including a whip over deep square leg to begin the sixth over.

Burger, who has gone for 45 runs off his first three overs, has been hammered by PBKS, who end the powerplay at 65 for 1. Archer and Brijesh Sharma have been economical.

Prabhsimran Singh's IPL 2026 powerplay strike rate of 188.57 is the fourth-highest for anyone who has faced more than 60 balls during this period.

Apr 28, 2026, 8:19 PM

Connolly's brief appearance concludes

He arrived like a train determined to prevent the RR bowlers from settling. He pumped Burger over mid-off to begin his boundary counter before pursuing rookie Punja. Before smashing a long-hop for a massive six over deep midwicket, he first slices a straight six. After that, he challenges Ravindra Jadeja's experience by smashing him over long-on and then slashing him between short third and backwards point.

However, Punja makes a spectacular comeback and is thrilled to see Connolly's back! Connolly tries to go straight down the ground once more, but he is tricked by the googly and slices straight up, leaving Ferreira to finish. Punja rejoices. Is there a way for RR to get here?

PBKS continues thanks to Prabhsimran 50

This is now his fourth fifty of the season, and he has been in excellent form. He gets there in 35 balls, which is a little slower than his previous knocks, but he's held the innings admirably after Arya fell. In his comeback spell, he races through the 40s with two fours against Archer before nudging Jadeja to his fifty. Prabhsimran's control percentage of 78 indicates that this hasn't been his most fluid innings. Above all, he's still out there despite a couple inside-edges and skews.

Apr 28, 2026, 8:48 PM

Punjab is being harmed by Punja

Punja is already shown remarkable game knowledge in just his second IPL encounter. Yes, he has been blasted for four sixes, but he has also hit twice, taking Connolly and Prabhsimran, two crucial wickets. At six feet five inches tall, he makes great use of his height to add more bounce, especially with his googly. He has been penalised whenever he has gone short, but the wickets have come when he has been on a length or fuller. He finishes his session at 2 for 41.

Apr 28, 2026, 8:57 PM

Prabhsimran trips and spins once again

Though he has struggled against spin, Prabhsimran is having an outstanding season and is currently PBKS' top run scorer. So far this season, the opener has scored the most runs for PBKS—346 in eight innings.

However, they have only lost to them once, and 267 of those runs have come against pace off 134 balls, a strike rate of 199.25. He has struck at 133.89 and scored 79 runs in 59 balls against spin, but he has succumbed to them five times!

He falls to spin once more, cutting Punja in half. Is spin the best course of action against Prabhsimran?

In IPL 2026, Prabhsimran has fallen to spin five times. He only has a strike rate of 133.89 against spin.

Apr 28, 2026, 9:14 PM

The "Hulk" is here

Marcus Stoinis has hardly had any time in the middle because the PBKS top-order has been playing so well. He has faced 27 balls and batted just four times in IPL 2026 prior to this match. He finally gets some playing time against RR, and wow is Stoinis showing off! He challenges Archer twice, hitting him for a six over deep midwicket and then directly over the bowler's head. However, Stoinis saves his best for the final over. After just 18 runs in his opening three overs, Brijesh Sharma was making good use of his slower balls, which were gripping and difficult to smash. However, Stoinis was not in the mood to treat the child with dignity.

He pumps a shin-high full toss over wide long-on after swiping Brijesh past short fine leg after a first ball dot. He bludgeons Brijesh over further cover after tonking an almost waist-high full toss over cow corner. Stoinis scores 24 runs off the last over of the innings by going exactly inside the line of a low full delivery and swiping it past square leg. The Hulk takes PBKS to 222 for 4 with a final score of 62 off 22 balls at 281.81.

Sooryavanshi versus Arshdeep is coming up

Although Arshdeep Singh hasn't been playing well in the 2026 Indian Premier League, bowlers can benefit from this surface. Can he cause problems for Vaibhav Sooryavanshi and Yashavi Jaiswal, the two left-handers?

PBKS 73.68% | RR 26.32% is the win probability.

Apr 28, 2026, 9:31 PM

Six, Four, Four

Vaibhav Sooryavanshi receives the opening strike from Jaiswal right away. Sooryavanshi pulls out two perfect yorkers on middle from Arshdeep to start. You will receive two dots in opposition to this fifteen-year-old. He smacks Arshdeep over deep backwards square leg for a massive six after getting a full ball on middle and leg. As RR collects 15 off the first over, he concludes the over by clipping Arshdeep through backwards point after a misfield at deep square leg gives him another four.

Apr 28, 2026, 9:47 PM

Arshdeep prevails in the conflict

Oh, this is a crucial part of the game. Sooryavanshi leaves after one more round of book cricket. He got off to a fast start. He pursues Lockie Ferguson after amassing 14 runs in the first over. The thick top edge flies over the initial slip. That could be fortunate, but the following ball will be furious. Sooryavanshi's whippage, a nearly half-helicopter stroke that goes for six over deep midwicket, is the result of Ferguson going full on middle and leg. After that, he goes straight and quickly gives Marco Jansen a six and a four as well.

After that, Arshdeep circles the wicket to give him more space. After Sooryavanshi hits a six, Shreyas runs back from mid-off and makes a comfortable catch after Sooryavanshi slices a low full throw straight up. With three fours and five sixes, Sooryavanshi is dismissed for 43 off 16.

The Orange cap race is led by Sooryavanshi

Vaibhav Sooryavanshi surpassed Abhishek Sharma to become the IPL 2026's top run scorer with his 43 off 16. As of right now, he has amassed 400 runs in just 168 balls, with an almost unbelievable strike rate of 238.09.

It has taken Sooryavanshi 167 balls to reach 400 runs. In terms of balls faced, this is the fastest batsman to reach 400 runs in an IPL season.

167 Sooryavanshi is the fastest batsman to reach 400 runs in an IPL season, having done so in just 167 balls in 2026.

Apr 28, 2026, 10:07 PM

In the powerplay, Jai-Soorya smashes 84

In a 223-chase, getting off to a fast start was essential, especially on a wicket where the slower bowlers were receiving adequate purchase. Again, Sooryavanshi got off to a fast start, hitting 46 off of just 16 balls. In the first over, Arshdeep bowled him two precise yorkers, which he dug out. Then, to end the over in style, he went 6, 4, 4. In his first game of the season, Lockie Ferguson needed some time to settle into a groove. He was not getting the time from Sooryavanshi. After getting a thick outside edge over slip, he whipped him a scorcher over deep midwicket at 145.1 kph before going straight down the ground for six more.

In 3.2 overs, RR reached 50, but Arshdeep's around-the-wicket angle proved to be effective, as Sooryavanshi sliced him straight up as Shreyas Iyer ran back from mid-off and made a simple catch.

All the while, Yashasvi Jaiswal remained a mute bystander. He launched an onslaught as soon as Sooryavanshi left. As RR stormed to 66 for 1 after four overs, he went 4, 6, 4 against Arshdeep. The Impact Player, Harpreet Brar, bowled a boundary-less fifth over, but RR raced to 84 for 1 after six, effectively ending Ferguson's pursuit.

Apr 28, 2026, 10:27 PM

FTW, PBKS spinners!

PBKS had to respond to RR's early blows, and they used their spinners to help them do so. Harpreet Brar effectively varied his pace while bowling wicket to wicket, leaving the hitters with little space to work with. He let up just a four and a six throughout his session, and his four overs only cost 25 runs.

Brar was economical, however he failed to take any wickets. Chahal ensured that he made amends. Chahal has held steady throughout the tournament while the other PBKS bowlers have suffered. Following a bold powerplay, RR lost Jurel and only scored 25 runs in the following four overs.

Apr 28, 2026, 10:43 PM

Chahal captures Parag and Jaiswal

Despite the slump, RR's powerplay hitting was so strong that they were scoring more than ten runs each over. After hitting his fifty from 26 balls, Jaiswal collapsed, sending Chahal plummeting to the ground. Parag made a few enjoyable strokes, but his reverse sweep off Harpreet was the best. However, Chahal ended his innings on 29. RR needed someone to start the innings fast because the required rate was rising above 12 an over.

Apr 28, 2026, 10:48 PM

Pace is moving

When Parag holed out, the needed rate was precisely 12. However, there was another crucial element at play here. The spinners had finished. Donovan Ferreira and Impact Player Shubham Dubey made the decision to take on the bowling since there was only speed left. Before the two faced Arshdeep once again, Jansen was hit for a four and a six, and Arshdeep was hit for three fours in his return over. After 14 overs, the chase may have been difficult, but the two made it easy.

Apr 28, 2026, 10:55 PM

RR gives PBKS their season's first defeat

Punjab Kings 222 for 4 (Stoinis 62*, Prabhsimran 59, Punja 2-41) were defeated by Rajasthan Royals 228 for 4 (Ferreira 52*, Jaiswal 51, Sooryavanshi 43, Chahal 3-36) by six wickets.

Donovan Ferreira demonstrated why the Rajasthan Royals were eager to have him traded in, Shubham Dubey emphasised the value of an impact player, and Yashavi Jaiswal and Vaibhav Sooryavanshi continued their incredible run as RR gave Punjab Kings their first IPL 2026 loss. Ferreira and Dubey combined for 77 runs off 32 balls for the fifth wicket in another run-fest at New Chandigarh, where 222 played 228, turning what at one point appeared to be a difficult run-chase into a cakewalk and securing a victory by six wickets with four balls to spare.

Marcus Stoinis hammered an undefeated 62 off 22 balls, while Yuzvendra Chahal took 3 for 36, but their contributions were insufficient as RR dropped to third position on the points standings.

IPL 2026 live score for DC vs RCB: Hazlewood and Bhuvneshwar crush DC

Apr 27, 2026, 4:12 PM

Is Rahul able to dominate his preferred opponents once more?

Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) is a favourite of KL Rahul. When they reached the final in 2016, he enjoyed his breakthrough season and made his IPL debut for them. More precisely, though, he enjoys playing against his home team.

Rahul has scored the most runs against any team since leaving RCB in 2018, with 789 against his old squad. His average of 69.91 versus RCB is his best against any team in his IPL career. And only his 164.89 strike rate versus Punjab Kings (PBKS), another former squad, surpasses his 145.65 against RCB.

Rahul also scored a half-century in the reverse fixture, helping Delhi Capitals (DC) pull off a tricky chase in Bengaluru, and is approaching this game in scintillating form. Rahul scored an amazing 152 not out off 67 deliveries against PBKS in DC's most recent game (the knock also caused his strike rate against PBKS to rise above his number against RCB). Prior to that, he had scored 57 and 92 in his four previous outings.

Rahul also has a stellar record against Josh Hazlewood, the bowling leader of the RCB. In addition to being the only batsman in the IPL to score over 100 against Hazlewood, Rahul has scored more runs against the Australian quick than any other player in all Twenty20 cricket.

Compared to the two other clubs on 10 points, RCB is comfortably in second place on the points table with five victories in seven games and one game remaining. DC, on the other hand, has lost four of their previous five games and needs to close the four-point deficit with the top four in order to qualify for the playoffs.

Apr 27, 2026, 4:30 PM

Virat Kohli and Pathum Nissanka are in the spotlight

Following an improvement in T20 results since the beginning of 2025, DC entered Pathum Nissanka in the auction. Nissanka averaged 34.18 and struck at 158.02 in all Twenty20 matches between the beginning of 2025 and the beginning of the IPL 2026. A month prior to the IPL, his incredible century against Australia in the T20 World Cup would have given DC the assurance that they had discovered Rahul's ideal top-order companion. Nissanka's IPL 2026 strike rate of 150 indicates that he has gotten off to fast starts, but he hasn't been able to convert them. DC will want him to start scoring huge runs soon because he has only scored 147 in seven games. If he doesn't, they might consider other choices like Abishek Porel, Prithvi Shaw, or possibly Rehan Ahmed at the top.

Another IPL season has begun, and Virat Kohli is once again Virat Kohli-ing. He is one of the leading run scorers and has won the Orange Cap a few occasions despite it frequently changing hands. He is heading into this match fresh off a game-winning 81 against GT, and his strike rate of 163.18 is his best in any IPL season. Like Rahul, Kohli has seven IPL fifties in Delhi and loves his hometown. Last season, he led RCB to win in a challenging chase at Arun Jaitley Stadium, and DC will be aware of the threat the RCB maestri presents.

Apr 27, 2026, 4:44 PM

Conditions and pitch

Pitch No. 5, where GT scored 210 earlier this season and DC lost by one run in a thrilling last-ball match, will host this match. You may anticipate another high-scoring game because the average first-innings score in the four games played on this mixed-soil field since IPL 2025 has been 197.

Apr 27, 2026, 5:32 PM

Trivia and statistics

In comparison to DC's top three, Bhuvneshwar Kumar has strong records. Rahul and Nitish Rana have only been removed twice apiece, although they have only hit him at 109 and 122, respectively. Additionally, he has defeated Nissanka three times in four innings while giving up just 22 runs in 24 balls.

Jitesh Sharma has only scored 15 runs against the left-arm spinner after being dismissed twice in 19 balls by Axar Patel.

For the eleventh time in an IPL season, Kohli is 72 runs short from scoring 400 runs. Shikhar Dhawan, David Warner, and Suresh Raina, who each achieved it nine times, are the closest to him.

Apr 27, 2026, 6:21 PM

Everyone is watching the Delhi field

Delhi produced the second-highest aggregate for a Twenty20 match on Saturday, with 265 playing 264 on pitch number 6. Rahul, the only Indian to reach 150 or more in the IPL, scored 152*, yet the team still lost. Pitch No. 5, where GT scored 210 earlier this season and DC lost by one run in a thrilling last-ball match on April 8, will be used for today's match. According to Danny Morrison, this strip appears drier than usual.

Apr 27, 2026, 6:49 PM

DC won't have Ngidi, and Jamieson will make his franchise debut

After being sent to the hospital in an ambulance after hitting his head on the grass on Saturday, Lungi Ngidi has now been deemed stable and returned to the DC team. However, it seems improbable that the SA speedster will play for them today. New Zealand fast Kyle Jamieson has received his first DC cap, according to Daya Sagar, who is at the Arun Jaitley Stadium. Sahil Parakh, a teenager from Maharashtra, is also scheduled to make his DC debut today. Rahul had given Parakh his cap.

Apr 27, 2026, 7:14 PM

DC makes three adjustments; RCB chooses to bowl

Delhi Capitals vs. Royal Challengers Bengaluru will bowl.

Rajat Patidar, the captain of Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB), decided to bowl against the hosts, Delhi Capitals (DC), after winning the toss. Phil Salt, the RCB opener, missed his second straight game due to injury. Jacob Bethell, a fellow countryman, is the most likely player to enter from the Impact Subs bench when RCB chases later in the evening, despite not being included in the bowl-first XI.

DC made three adjustments, including an imposed one, while RCB remained the same. Despite being deemed stable, Lungi Ngidi, who struck his head on the ground while fielding on Saturday and was subsequently transported to the hospital in an ambulance, is not eligible to be selected for this game. He was replaced by Dushmantha Chameera, a fast bowler from Sri Lanka. In order to make room for Sahil Parakh and New Zealand quick Kyle Jamieson, his countryman Pathum Nissanka and India seamer Mukesh Kumar were also left out of their starting lineup.

Maharashtra's 18-year-old Parakh is a promising batter with a range of shots, including the scoop. He has also played for the India Under-19 team. Before the season began, Venugopal Rao, DC's director of cricket, selected Parakh as a player to keep an eye on. Parakh will start the batting in his IPL debut, Axar Patel confirmed at the toss. DC's Impact Sub possibilities include legspinner Vipraj Nigam and seamer Auqib Nabi.

Delhi threw a huge party on Saturday, with 265 playing 264 on ground number six. For a Twenty20 match, it was the second-highest aggregate. Rahul, the only Indian to reach 150 or more in the IPL, scored 152*, yet the team still lost. Pitch No. 5, where Gujarat Titans (GT) scored 210 earlier this season and DC lost by one run in a thrilling final-ball match on April 8, will be used for today's match.

Delhi Capitals bat-first XI: 1 Sahil Parakh, 2 KL Rahul (wk), 3 Nitish Rana, 4 Sameer Rizvi, 5 Tristan Stubbs, 6 David Miller, 7 Axar Patel (capt), 8 Dushmantha Chameera, 9 Kuldeep Yadav, 10 T Natarajan, 11 Kyle Jamieson

Impact Subs bench: Auqib Nabi, Ashutosh Sharma, Vipraj Nigam, T Vijay, Abishek Porel

Royal Challengers Bengaluru bowl-first XI: 1 Virat Kohli, 2 Devdutt Padikkal, 3 Rajat Patidar (capt), 4 Jitesh Sharma (wk), 5 Tim David, 6 Romario Shepherd, 7 Krunal Pandya, 8 Bhuvneshwar Kumar, 9 Josh Hazlewood, 10 Suyash Sharma, 11 Rasikh Salam Dar

Impact Subs bench: Jacob Bethell, Jordan Cox, Mangesh Yadav, Vicky Ostwal, Venkatesh Iyer

Apr 27, 2026, 7:31 PM

On debut, Parakh was yorked for a duck

An outswinger that strikes Sahil Parakh's outside edge and rolls to Hazlewood at short third is Bhuvneshwar's first ball to the rookie. His middle stump is destroyed by the next ball, an inswinging yorker that roars. On debut, I was a duck. Patidar, his captain, congratulates Bhuvneshwar as he pumps his fist.

Bhuvneshwar uses this to dive beneath his bat and swing back into Parakh from over the wicket. Unplayable content. Sahil, good luck.

Apr 27, 2026, 7:37 PM

Go, RCB

Rahul is bounced out by Hazlewood in the second over after Bhuvneshwar yorks novice Parakh in the first. This is Hazlewood special. At 141.4 kph, he blasts it away on a hard length. Rahul is cramping for space on the stumps. The ball cannot be pulled or sliced from this length and line. Perfect stuff. Instead of the bat striking the ball, the ball strikes the bat. Jitesh snaffles the upper edge. Rahul scored 152* on Saturday and was dismissed for 1.

What occurs with the subsequent ball? much wider and fuller. This time, Hazlewood had some late away movement. For a golden duck, Rizvi tosses his hands at a drive and nicks it behind. Hazlewood is on a hat-trick as RCB is 2 for 3 in the second over.

Alright, Stubbs uses a wristy shot between mid-on and midwicket to prevent the hat-trick.

Apr 27, 2026, 7:46 PM

In 2.4 overs, DC is reeling at 7 for 5

DC has lost four wickets after 13 balls in their innings. Stubbs, who nicked to slips for five off three balls, is the most recent to leave. After three balls, Bhuvneshwar uses his own late movement to locate Axar's outside edge, leaving DC in ruins at 7 for 5 in 2.4 overs.

According to our analytics expert Sampath Bandarupalli, this is the first time a side has lost five wickets in an IPL innings. It's time for DC to activate Porel as an Impact Player by flipping the emergency switch.

The ball is swinging slowly. The two slips and the keeper are still in action. This appears to be a scene from a cricket Test match. If you're a DC fan, turn away.

Apr 27, 2026, 7:58 PM

DC: In the fourth over, 8 for 6

Hazlewood bounces Rana out after bouncing Rahul out. He strikes Rana's arm pit with this. It surprises the left-hander by angling into him from around the stumps. Rana averts his gaze, raises his bat, and makes a wide slip catch to Padikkal. Incredulous, David conceals his face. What has just happened is unbelievable to him. In the fourth over, DC is 8 for 6. They could be eliminated for having the lowest IPL total.

Apr 27, 2026, 8:08 PM

DC's power (less)play

The lowest powerplay score in an entire IPL match is DC's 13 for 6.

Apr 27, 2026, 8:21 PM

Rasikh enters the gathering

Before Rasikh catches Miller in the ninth over, leaving DC at 43 for 7, Miller and Impact Sub Porel add 35 for the seventh wicket off 31 balls. Miller was bounced out for 19 off 18 balls while batting at No. 8 for the first time in his career.

Apr 27, 2026, 8:51 PM

Jamieson's cameo is ended by Krunal

In the eleventh over, Jamieson hit Shepherd over midwicket, his first and only six of the day. Krunal ends his innings with 12 off 13 balls in the 13th over. In the thirteenth over, DC is 62 for 8.

Apr 27, 2026, 9:07 PM

DC was fired for 75

With a scorching yorker that tails in from around the wicket, Hazlewood ends the innings. The final player ejected for 30 off 33 balls was Porel. The only DC batsman to score more than 20 runs in a single day is him. This is DC's third-lowest IPL total.

Apr 27, 2026, 9:37 PM

RCB got off to a fast start

In the following over, Kohli starts the chase with a step-hit four off Chameera after Bethell flicks the first ball of the chase for four. After picking Jamieson away for a pair of sixes, Bethell holes out to Natarajan, who runs back from mid-on and makes a fantastic catch close to the boundary. In the third over, RCB is 26 for 1. Today, they have already doubled DC's powerplay score.

Apr 27, 2026, 9:56 PM

Another milestone is reached by Kohli, and RCB wins again

In the IPL, Kohli scored 9000 runs. He reaches the landmark before any other player.

With consecutive sixes off Natarajan, Kohli completes the match in 6.3 overs. RCB triumphs by nine wickets! Their NRR increases from 1.101 to 1.919. I appreciate you listening in. The complete report will soon be available on the website.

KKR prevails in the Super Over

Apr 26, 2026, 4:12 PM

KKR's Pathirana boost

Both the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) have had a difficult season. When they play at the Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow, the two worst teams in the 2026 Indian Premier League will attempt to turn their season around.

In regular time, Sunil Narine finished with 1 for 23.
In regular time, Sunil Narine finished with 1 for 23.

Matheesha Pathirana, who is fit and eligible for the LSG game, will be a welcome addition to KKR, who had to deal with a weakened fast bowling attack. The crucial question is who he replaces.

Since their bowlers have been outstanding, LSG's problems are primarily related to their hitters. They are one of the rare teams with an all-Indian bowling attack with the majority of first-choice players available, and the figures demonstrate how successful they are. They have taken the second-most wickets in the phase (14) and have the best economy rate (7.59) during the powerplay.

Apr 26, 2026, 5:02 PM

Prince Yadav improves in the Indian Premier League

The LSG has quickly emerged as one of the top wicket-takers in the IPL this year because to a return to perfecting his yorkers and learning variations including slower bouncers. Prince is covered in more detail by S Sudarshanan.

LSG chooses to bowl; KKR will not have Pathirana

The Lucknow Super Giants choose to bowl against the Kolkata Knight Riders.

Rishabh Pant, the captain of the Lucknow Super Giants, chose to bowl first against the Kolkata Knight Riders in Lucknow after winning the toss in a match between two teams in last place. According to KKR captain Ajinkya Rahane, the toss is meaningless because they want to bat first nonetheless.

Pant expressed confidence in a turnaround. One alteration was made by LSG, who replaced M Siddharth with George Linde. Ayush Badoni was listed at No. 5 on the teamsheet, while Aiden Markram was scheduled to start alongside Mitchell Marsh.

Since KKR remained unaltered, Matheesha Pathirana was not yet present.

Pitch number six, which hasn't been utilised this season, will host the game. The two square limits are 64 and 69 metres in length, and the surface is made of black earth. The straight line is 73 metres long.

Lucknow Super Giants: 1 Aiden Markram, 2 Mitchell Marsh, 3 Rishabh Pant (capt, wk), 4 Nicholas Pooran, 5 Ayush Badoni, 6 Mukul Choudhary, 7 George Linde, 8 Mohammed Shami, 9 Prince Yadav, 10 Digvesh Rathi, 11 Mohsin Khan

Impact Player options: Himmat Singh, Avesh Khan, Abdul Samad, Akshat Raghuwanshi, M Siddharth

Kolkata Knight Riders: 1 Ajinkya Rahane (capt), 2 Tim Seifert (wk), 3 Cameron Green, 4 Angkrish Raghuvanshi, 5 Rovman Powell, 6 Rinku Singh, 7 Sunil Narine, 8 Ramandeep Singh, 9 Anukul Roy, 10 Vaibhav Arora, 11 Kartik Tyagi

Impact Player options: Manish Pandey, Finn Allen, Tejasvi Singh, Varun Chakravarthy, Navdeep Saini

Apr 26, 2026, 7:35 PM

Rahane versus Shami

Rahane has dominated this matchup. In the IPL, Shami has bowled 59 balls to Rahane, who has taken 99 runs at a strike rate of 167.79 without being out at all.

Here, Shami begins with a yorker and has a slip in place. Rahane defends the following two deliveries as they form away. Then, in an attempt to pull it back, Shami strays down the leg side twice in a row. The second one touches Rahane's leg, whereas the first is broad. Rahane opens his account with a single when the final ball slips away and passes the diving backwards point.

KKR 2/0 after the one

Apr 26, 2026, 7:46 PM

Mohsin receives Seifert ahead of schedule

Tim Seifert walks back for a three-ball duck, costing KKR their maiden wicket once more. It was his second duck in two innings.

Mohsin bowled this fullish delivery at 142.4 kph. Seifert tried to reach it with his hands but was unable to get past more cover. This is the bowler's third wicket-maiden of the season despite a leg-bye in the over that doesn't count against him.

The new batter is Angkrish Raghuvasnhi.

Mohsin Khan bowled his first three overs in the 2026 IPL. Together, the other bowlers have bowled two.

Apr 26, 2026, 7:48 PM

Rahane leaves after Mohsin hits once again

Rahane was trapped. He did hit Shami for a six over midwicket, but his stay is cut short by Mohsin's change of pace. He looks to go inside out over mid-off as he descends, but Mohsin slips one at 124.6 kph. Markram pedals back at mid-off and settles beneath Rahane's mistake.

KKR 21/2 following four

Apr 26, 2026, 8:01 PM

Raghuvanshi is blocking the field

It is the fifth over's final ball. Price Yadav is pushed towards mid-on by Raghuvanshi, who then takes off. While Shami fields the ball and attempts a direct hit at the striker's end, Green sends him back. In the meantime, Raghuvanshi does a huge U-turn and dives to return to his crease. The LSG players file an appeal for impeding the field after the throw strikes him. After observing, the TV umpire remarks that Raghuvanshi "clearly changes his direction." They've given him out.

Raghuvanshi is arguing with the on-field umpires because he is unhappy. Nothing will change as a result of this. It might even result in a fine for him. He must return on foot. He hits the ground with his bat as he gets closer to the boundary line; is that the boundary cushion? - and, furiously, tosses his helmet aside. The fourth umpire is being addressed by Abhishek Nayar. Everything is taking place.

Rovman Powell, meanwhile, enters the powerplay to bat.

Apr 26, 2026, 8:06 PM

A lost opportunity to run out

It's all happening, like I mentioned. Digvesh Rathi is nudged towards short midwicket by Powell. Powell sends Green back after he leaves. Prince Yadav, who is searching for Rathi, receives the ball directly. Prince tries to do it himself since Rathi isn't behind the stumps. He rushes in the direction of the stumps but is unable to smash them. Green was fast to turn back, so if he had destroyed the wicket, it would have been touch and go.

Powell, however, is short-lived. He attempts to retrieve a short ball from Mohsin on the opening ball of the seventh over, but ultimately gloves it to Pant.

Green and Rinku begin to rebuild

In the IPL, Raghuvanshi is the fourth batter to be dismissed for blocking the field. The others are Yusuf Pathan, Amit Mishra, and Ravindra Jadeja.

Green has hit Linde for two consecutive sixes, but his comeback is only getting started. Still a long way to go.

Green's counterattack is unsuccessful. On a bad delivery, he hits Mohsin for a six, but two balls later, he dies trying to make the same shot. However, he ended up skying it behind the stumps because it was a hard-length ball. Pant pouched it after running back.

Mohsin gets his first five-for in Twenty20 cricket as Anukul Roy chips the very next delivery to short midwicket. The second-earliest five-for in the IPL was taken by a bowler in eleven overs. In the 2011 Kochi Tuskers Kerala innings, Ishant Sharma finished his in the first four overs.

KKR is seven down after Ramandeep collapses

Linde gives up just two singles off the first five balls while bowling the fifteenth over of the innings. Ramandeep attempts to challenge him on the final, but he is unable to clear long-on.

Rinku Singh, batting on 27 off 27, continues to battle it out in the middle, and Sunil Narine joins him.

Pandey Manish padded up

One of KKR's Impact Player alternatives, Manish Pandey, is padded up in the dugout. However, Varun Chakravarthy, who is also on the Impact Player bench, would not be available to KKR if he were to join.

It appears that they won't need to bring in Pandey for the time being. KKR has reached 112/7 thanks to Rinku and Narine.

Apr 26, 2026, 9:09 PM

For Rinku, fifty

6 4 4 1 1 1

It's Rinku's second fifty in as many games. He carves Shami over covers for a six to start the 19th over, then takes two fours off the next two deliveries. He reached his fifty from 42 balls with the first of those fours.

Rinku goes six, six, six, six

In T20 cricket, Rinku has an amazing record in the 20th over. However, he is typically up against a fast bowler and is not regarded as a strong spin hitter. Giving Rathi the last over is therefore theoretically a good idea. However, Rinku is well-positioned and hits Rathi for four straight sixes. It cost LSG 26 because there were two wides as well.

Rinku finishes with 83 not out from 51, his highest total in T20 cricket, as KKR finishes at 155 for 7. However, LSG should support themselves in order to easily pursue it.

Marsh passes out early

Marsh and Markram, LSG's tried-and-true opening duo, return, but their partnership is short-lived. The opening ball of the second over is lost by Marsh. He finishes up slashing it in the direction of mid-on while attempting to pull Vaibhav Arora. Powell dives backwards to complete the catch after circling beneath it. However, he is hurting after landing heavily on his left side. He limps off the field. Hopefully, it's nothing major.

Apr 26, 2026, 9:48 PM

Powell returns to the field

After returning to the field, Powell keeps Pant on one off six balls with a sliding stop to his left at mid-off. However, Pant smacks Green over long-on for the first six of the chase after charging down the pitch with the subsequent ball.

In the powerplay, KKR keeps LSG silent

During the powerplay, Arora bowls three overs and concedes just thirteen. Green and Narine bowled two overs for sixteen runs in between. Consequently, after six overs, LSG is 37 for 1.

However, KKR needs wickets because the necessary rate is still a comfortable 8.50.

Apr 26, 2026, 10:11 PM

Raghuvanshi is replaced by Varun

Raghuvasnhi is replaced as Impact Player by Varun Chakravarthy, who bowls a close first over with just five wickets. Narine follows suit from the opposite end. This raises the necessary rate to nine.

After 12 balls, a boundary

Step-hitting Varun over long-on for a six, Markram breaks free from the restraints. Markram was hitting with the turn because it was a googly. Ten is the over.

After nine, LSG is 57/1, and it's time to take a calculated break.

Apr 26, 2026, 10:22 PM

Markram is sent back by Rinku's genius

Pant and Markram understand that they must take chances. For a while, it appears that Markram has had enough of Green as he takes on him in an attempt to clear long-off. However, Rinku's skill turns it into a catch. He leaps into the air while running sideways and catches the ball. However, he lobs it up, steps outside, comes back in, and finishes the grab since the momentum will carry him beyond the boundary line.

Apr 26, 2026, 10:34 PM

Falling, falling, falling

Now the pants are sliding around the crease. For a six, he initially crosses his stumps and scoop-flicks Kartik Tyagi over fine leg. After that, he plays Narine in a downward sweep for four more. Narine, though, gets the last laugh. Pant gloves the following ball behind him after attempting a reverse sweep. He was declared not out, but KKR was able to have the ruling overturned after review.

Badoni gets to the crease as a result. On the other end, Pooran is batting on three off seven.

In an attempt to meet the asking rate, Pooran also dies. He launches a full delivery from Varun over extra cover for a six but later in the over, Varun angles one across him. Pooran ends up edging it to short third after going for the slash. I believe that KKR should now lose this game.

KKR favourites, Choudhary collapses

When these two teams played earlier in the season, Mukul Choudhary made an impact with a fifty that changed the course of the match. Maybe that's why, despite the bowler hardly appealing, KKR burns a review when he is not ruled lbw off Narine. However, in the very next over, Anukul Roy catches him at deep midwicket. For one off of two balls, he walks back.

With Himmat and Badoni at the crease, LSG needs 52 in four overs.

Himmat and Badoni continue to pursue LSG

Tyagi is hit over point for six by Himmat Singh to begin the 17th over. Badoni scoops him for another six after two balls. However, the bowler finishes strong, conceding just one single in the final three deliveries.

LSG requires 38 out of 3.

Apr 26, 2026, 11:08 PM

Varun receives Badoni

Badoni attempts to draw a length ball from around the wicket and holes out to deep midwicket. Roy made a fantastic catch by jumping forward to finish a low catch.

The replacement batter, George Linde, hits two fours off the final two balls to make sure the over still ends in ten.

28 are required from 2.

Apr 26, 2026, 11:14 PM

17 from the previous over are needed

A cameo causes Linde to collapse. He holes out in an attempt to clear long-on off a full delivery from Arora. This is Rinku's third catch of the inning.

Shami is ranked ninth. He hits a one-bounce four on the first ball he encounters by hitting it over the bowler's head. However, he then misses a high full toss. The last ball is scythed for four by Himmat.

With Shami on strike, 17 is required from the final over.

Seifert mishandles a slower ball, but LSG manages to get a bye off the opening ball. Tyagi bowls a beamer when Himmat is on strike. Tyagi bowls another waist-high full toss after it's a free hit. No-ball is signalling by the umpire. KKR review, but it remains a no-ball. Tyagi keeps bowling because this one is not considered harmful.

Twelve is needed from five balls in the equation. Himmat scores four off a short ball that he bowls. However, Rinku steps in with his fourth catch of the game.

However, the game is still ongoing. Shami hits a slot ball over long-off to tie the game when seven is required from the last ball.

Markram and Pooran emerge for the Super Over. The ball is with Narine. He once bowled Pooran his first Super Over.

Apr 26, 2026, 11:44 PM

In Super Over, LSG 1/2

With a big offbreak, Narine bowls him this opening ball. Pooran completely missed the slog sweep when he tried for it. To slap it to the sweeper cover for one, Pant skips and walks along the track. Markram goes on strike as a result. He makes an unsuccessful attempt to clear long-on off the back foot. Powell realises that his momentum will eventually carry him over the boundary line, so he rushes to his left and makes the catch. Before that, he has a moment. He can see Rinku approaching, but he is still quite a distance away. Powell then waits for him to get a little closer before forcefully flicking the ball in his direction. LSG is bowled out for one in the Super Over after Rinku completes the catch.

Apr 26, 2026, 11:47 PM

Rinku Singh completes it

Rinku Singh had to be the culprit. He takes the strike for the Super Over after putting in all the effort in the allotted time. Rinku drives Prince Yadav's opening ball through cover-point for four, thus Rovman Powell, who is at the other end, is not needed. At last, KKR has emerged victorious and is no longer the basement team.

CSK versus GT Live Score, IPL 2026: Sai Sudharsan and Rabada destroy CSK

CSK vs. GT: Sunday afternoon's midtable struggle

Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Gujarat Titans (GT) have the same record at the midway point of the 2026 Indian Premier League: seven games, three wins, four losses. However, it appears that the two teams are going in different directions.

Despite the shortcomings of both teams, things appear to be improving for CSK following their victory over the Mumbai Indians (MI). Sanju Samson has been instrumental in it. He had three single-digit scores at the beginning of the season, but in the last four games, he has made two hundreds and forty-eight. In addition to him, Noor Ahmad has also regained his form following a lacklustre beginning. He has taken five wickets at an economy rate of 6.50 in the last three games. CSK will also benefit from playing at home on Sunday afternoon.

Rabada silences Chepauk with hard-length masterclass
Rabada silences Chepauk with hard-length masterclass

GT is coming off two losses going into this match. GT's issues are structural, whereas CSK's are connected to Ruturaj Gaikwad and Shivam Dube's form. Their top three are compelled to play low-risk cricket because they lack a potent middle order. As a result, GT has the lowest rate in the competition, averaging 18.3 balls to hit a six. For comparison, Royal Challengers Bengaluru and Punjab Kings clear the boundary every 9.4 and 7.6 balls, respectively. With Impact Players and flat surfaces, GT's strategy puts pressure on their bowling assault to produce results, which isn't always feasible.

Apr 26, 2026, 12:48 PM

Is Dhoni going to play today?

MS Dhoni's calf injury is still healing. Thus, anticipate that CSK will field the same team.

Chennai Super Kings (probable): 1 Sanju Samson (wk), 2 Ruturaj Gaikwad (capt), 3 Sarfaraz Khan, 4 Shivam Dube, 5 Dewald Brevis, 6 Kartik Sharma, 7 Jamie Overton, 8 Akeal Hosein, 9 Noor Ahmad, 10 Anshul Kamboj, 11 Mukesh Choudhary, 12 Gurjapneet Singh

Additionally, GT might not alter their combination.

Gujarat Titans (probable): 1 Shubman Gill (capt), 2 Sai Sudharsan, 3 Jos Buttler (wk), 4 Washington Sundar, 5 Jason Holder, 6 Shahrukh Khan, 7 Rashid Khan, 8 Rahul Tewatia, 9 Manav Suthar, 10 Kagiso Rabada, 11 Mohammed Siraj, 12 Prasidh Krishna

Apr 26, 2026, 1:51 PM

Prasidh and Akeal

CSK was without a new-ball seamer following Khaleel Ahmed's injury. However, Akeal Hosein, a left-arm spinner, is more than capable of doing the task. Although Hosein's ability to swing the new ball is more well-known, he also demonstrated his ability to spin it versus MI. In his first two overs, he took two wickets by catching Danish Malewar's outside edge and beating Naman Dhir's.

In the first five games of the season, Prasidh Krishna took 11 wickets; but, in the last two, he has taken just one and gone for 14.16 per over. He appears to be deviating from the hard path that led to all of his achievements; it's not only about the economy rate. If GT wants to dominate the middle overs, he must be back to his best.

Apr 26, 2026, 2:13 PM

Statistics and trivia: CSK's Hosein key?

Hosein has dismissed Shubman Gill twice in 31 balls in Twenty20 cricket while conceding just 29 runs. Even more outstanding is Hosein's record against Jason Holder: 13 balls, two runs, four dismissals.

In the IPL, Mohammed Siraj has a strong record against Samson, dismissing him three times in 35 deliveries for a mere 40 runs.

In T20 cricket, Samson has scored at a strike rate of just 112.03 (121 runs off 108 balls) but has only once been dismissed by Rashid Khan.

We're melting

Welcome to a Chepauk where the majority of people appear to have abandoned their passion for the game out of concern that they may vanish into thin air. Here, it's as hilarious as insert preferred profanity. Good luck to the players who must endure the intense summer heat. If there wasn't a brawl in the dressing room for the impact player role (bat and never ever field), then there is a significant problem.

Apr 26, 2026, 2:50 PM

Slow-motion warm-ups

Although the warm-ups are in progress, it is evident that both sides are saving their energy for the game itself. Rabada's activities are limited to spot bowling. Sai Sudharsan and Prasidh are practicing catching. Rashid Khan is jogging, not running. Pitch number six, which is supposed to help spin a little, has been closely examined by Akeal Hosein.

Apr 26, 2026, 3:06 PM

Toss: GT bowl

Shubman Gill won the toss and decided to confront the heat right immediately on a day when Chennai had issued severe heat warnings. The Gujarat Titans' decision to bowl first may indicate that their batting lineup, which is largely dependent on the top three, would like to know what they are chasing rather than worrying about setting a total and whether it is par. If anything, spin is predicted to be aided by the conditions, and normal wear and tear may further reinforce this tendency.

Putting a total on the board made home skipper Ruturaj Gaikwad very delighted. He mentioned that he's been getting starts and that he will cash in when he believes it's his day, even though he is now out of form. CSK replaced Sarfaraz Khan with Urvil Patel and hinted that they would "play around" with the Impact Player. Prior to the toss, Ramakrishna Ghosh, a substitute who isn't in the starting lineup, had measured his run-up. GT also made a change, substituting Arshad Khan for Rahul Tewatia.

Gujarat Titans 1 Shubman Gill (capt), 2 Sai Sudharsan, 3 Jos Buttler (wk), 4 Shahrukh Khan, 5 Washington Sundar, 6 Jason Holder, 7 Rashid Khan, 8 Arshad Khan, 9 Kagiso Rabada, 10 Mohammed Siraj, 11 Manav Suthar

Impact player options: Glenn Phillips, Anuj Rawat, Kulwant Khejroliya, Nishant Sindhu, Rahul Tewatia

Chennai Super Kings 1 Sanju Samson (wk), 2 Ruturaj Gaikwad (capt), 3 Urvil Patel, 4 Dewald Brevis, 5 Shivam Dube, 6 Kartik Sharma, 7 Jamie Overton, 8 Akeal Hosein, 9 Noor Ahmad, 10 Anshul Kamboj, 11 Gurjapneet Singh

Impact player options: Sarfaraz Khan, Mukesh Choudhary, Prashant Veer, Ramakrishna Ghosh, Matt Short

Apr 26, 2026, 3:43 PM

Pace is pace

GT's bowling is oppressively good once more. In the first over, Siraj defeated Samson three times in four balls. Rabada began by overcoming Samson's advantage as well. After that, he was hammered for four. The ball had a terrific bounce after hitting the edge. The batter was able to ride it squarely on the off side after the ball that went for four bounced just enough.

Apr 26, 2026, 3:49 PM

Is Gaikwad sensing it?

MS Dhoni has never attended a CSK game. On demand, however, he can be heard stating, "Start the whistles." Every time CSK hits a boundary today, the DJ continues to play it. At the toss, Gaikwad said he would cash in when he felt it was his day. Today, he made two boundaries with his first two shots.

There's space. It's brief. Samson takes the cut. However, the speed. The speed is 148 km per hour. in this heat. Now that he has his man, CSK will have to play 16.3 overs without their season's top hitter.

Samson has scored 304 of CSK's 1274 runs this season, or 24% of the team's total. For GT, getting rid of him early was crucial.

Enjoying his high, Urvil Patel charges at Rabada and uses additional cover to smash him. He tries to step out again at the next ball, but Rabada is too cool. He is brief. He enters the body. How GT arranged their bowling

Rabada and Siraj bowled through the powerplay for the third time this season. They set up the remainder of the innings for themselves by front-loading their fast bowlers, especially those of such calibre. Siraj and Rabada typically take early wickets. They were searching for more after receiving three today. In the final over of the powerplay, when the fielding side would have been considering containment, they had a slip for new-batter Brevis. They can sneak in inexpensive overs from their backup bowlers after forcing the opponent into rebuilding mode with the early wickets they take. Jason Holder and Manav Suthar are now in charge. It is possible to save Rashid Khan for a few final overs.

25 balls have passed since CSK's previous boundary. After eight overs, they are 36 for 3. In more than 3.5, they hit the final of their five boundaries.

Apr 26, 2026, 4:21 PM

Brevis has left

When the ball went straight up off his bat rather than out of the ground as he had planned, he hung his head. It's intriguing. He has only scored two fifties in 20 IPL innings. He has a lot of promise. He has performed for South Africa and even at the SA20 as a result of that. However, he hasn't lived up to the hype at the IPL.

Today's powerplay score of 28 is the third-lowest of the season for CSK. They have already lost the most wickets of any side in the 2026 Indian Premier League (IPL) at 18.

Apr 26, 2026, 4:41 PM

Gaikwad's approach

In the IPL 2026 season, Ruturaj Gaikwad has encountered 58 dot balls. He is now in the top three as a result. To put things in perspective, Vaibhav Sooryavanshi has encountered fifty dot balls this season. At the summit, Yashasvi Jaiswal has encountered 67 dot balls. Thus, it is obvious that a batter facing a lot of dot balls won't have any issues.

It's what they do anytime they have even a slim opportunity to score. In order to make up for it, Jaiswal attacks a lot of balls—24 out of 166 faced, or 15%. So far this season, Gaikwad has played 13 attacking shots (out of 127 faced, or 10%).

It's obvious that the CSK captain would rather settle in before making a bold move. However, the IPL might have evolved past this approach.

CSK 158 for seven

Gaikwad finishes on 74 off 60 balls after leaving a ball in the final over and denying a single. Rabada effectively disrupted CSK's batting lineup and left them to pick up the pieces after taking three wickets, including two in one over. The second-slowest fifty in the IPL was achieved by CSK in 11.6 overs. It was Gaikwad's slowest fifty in the IPL and the slowest since 2022, taking 49 balls. 158 is a "amazing score," according to Shivam Dube in the intermission interview. One batter made 152 less than a day ago. And because the chasing club scored 120 in the powerplay alone, he ended up on the losing side.

With 87 runs in 46 balls, Sai Sudharsan completed the chase.

RR vs. SRH Live Score, IPL 2026: Following Sooryavanshi's century, Abhishek and Kishan put SRH ahead

Apr 25, 2026, 5:00 PM

Part 2 of RR versus SRH

When the Rajasthan Royals and Sunrisers Hyderabad last faced off, all eyes were on one young player at the start of the game, but by the end, two other players were the focus of attention. Jasprit Bumrah and Josh Hazlewood were bossed by Vaibhav Sooryavanshi, but in Hyderabad, Praful Hinge got him out for a duck and finished his debut with a four-wicket haul, along with fellow SRH fast Sakib Hussain. That led to a winning run of three games, which SRH will aim to maintain. Naturally, one of them might make room for Pat Cummins, the returning captain of SRH, today.

RR, on the other hand, lost two straight games before improving against the Lucknow Super Giants. Riyan Parag, their captain, is under some strain as they host SRH today. Both teams are aware that every point matters, particularly in that mid-table bottleneck, since they are both in the top four and the IPL 2026 league stage is halfway through. All of that prepares us for another fun competition.

Apr 25, 2026, 7:18 PM

Cummins comes back, and SRH decides to bowl

When playing the Rajasthan Royals, Sunrisers Hyderabad decided to bowl.

In his first competitive match since the Adelaide Ashes Test in mid-December, Pat Cummins, the skipper of Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH), has decided to bowl against Rajasthan Royals (RR) in Jaipur.

Ishan Kishan, the stand-in captain, had lost all seven of the tosses he had played, hence this was SRH's first victory of the season.

In one of two bowling changes, Cummins replaced Sri Lankan quick Dilshan Madushanka in SRH's starting lineup. Seamer Praful Hinge, who made his IPL debut in the match-winning four-wicket haul in Hyderabad, also returned to the starting lineup in place of left-arm spinner Harsh Dubey.

Each squad substituted a seamer for a spinner. Legspinner Ravi Bishnoi dropped to the Impact Player bench and was replaced by Tushar Deshpande for RR.

Travis Head is on the SRH substitute bench when the game begins. When they start their pursuit, he will probably fill in as an Impact Player.

With RR having scored ten points in their first seven games and SRH eight in seven, both teams will be looking to solidify their prospects of finishing in the top four of the league going into this match.

Sooryavanshi exacts revenge on Hinge

Vaibhav Sooryavanshi is the best at hitting all lengths and is also the most effective at hitting "bad" balls, as analyst Himanish Ganjoo notes on the Rock & Roll It podcast (full episode available here).

This is discovered in a 25-run first over by Praful Hinge, who dismissed Sooryavanshi for a duck on debut in the rematch 12 days ago. Twenty-five runs.

In that over, Sooryavanshi faces five balls and goes 0, 6, 6, 6, 6. A short ball is pulled off. A length ball whipped over a square leg in reverse. A long-off slot ball was lofted. A ball blasted over long-on from the entire side of the length. Where you pitch it is irrelevant.

Apr 25, 2026, 7:39 PM

Cummins versus Sooryavanshi

He struck Hazlewood for four, four, four, and six first up, then he smacked Bumrah for six first ball. For the first time in his life, he takes on Pat Cummins and gets a solid short ball first up. climbed to shoulder height while angled over the left-hander from over the wicket. What is the role of Sooryavanshi? What are you anticipating? It was simple to pull for six in front of the square. Right now, he's hitting on thirty off six balls. One dot and five sixes. What a performer.

Apr 25, 2026, 7:43 PM

Malinga obtains Jaiswal

Yashasvi Jaiswal received another excellent short ball from Eshan Malinga. Climbing over the batter's rear shoulder, it resembles the one Sooryavanshi pulled for six off Pat Cummins. When the ball grows huge on Jaiswal, he skews a catch to mid-on, which is not exactly what Sooryavanshi did.

Apr 25, 2026, 7:55 PM

Aniket pushes Sooryavanshi down

Both openers may have been removed by Eshan Malinga. Sooryavanshi doesn't produce as much power as usual and pulls a hard-length ball that is angled across him. Running to his right from a deep square leg, Aniket Verma uses both hands to lay down a straight-forward opportunity. The ball rolls into the rope as it topples over.

Later in the over, Sooryavanshi snags Malinga for a six only to add insult to injury. Since switching to 30 off 6, he has significantly slowed down. He is currently batting on 44 off 14. In five overs, RR is 63 for 1.

Apr 25, 2026, 8:00 PM

15-ball half-century

This is Sooryavanshi's fastest fifty. Only his joint-fastest fifty. This season, it's only his joint-fastest fifty. This season, he has reached a 15-ball half-century three times. Many 15s for a 15-year-old. Sakib Hussain's flat-batted six over long-on gets him there. This is his seventh six. 15 balls and a seventh six. Words are insufficient.

At the end of the over, Sakib misses another opportunity when Dhruv Jurel jabs one back at him, causing Sakib to get tangled in his follow-through. At 76 for 1, RR ends the powerplay. If that doesn't seem like much considering how Sooryavanshi is playing, it's because this pitch has shown some seam movement and two-pacedness when everyone else has been on strike. Jurel is batting on 14 off 12.

Apr 25, 2026, 8:09 PM

Sooryavanshi rattles along as the powerplay concludes

1 4 0 1 6 4

Shivang Kumar's first over was that. The left-arm wristspinner presents Sooryavanshi with three balls. For one, a slight push down to long-on is sufficient. gets back on strike for the final two balls and smashes two straight long-off hits: a flat-bat six and a drilled four.

Apr 25, 2026, 8:25 PM

Jurel's battle

Dhruv Jurel is batting on 25 from 23 balls, has trouble middleing the ball, and struggles with fluency. Jurel may be keeping SRH in the match, but Sooryavanshi's innings should be taking the game away from them at this point. SRH may not be too upset with Sakib Hussain's two return catches off Jurel right now.

In ten overs, RR is 112 for 1.

Apr 25, 2026, 8:32 PM

Jurel makes a move

Eshan Malinga made two amazing shots to move from 26 off 25 to 37 off 27. Outstanding wrists and bat speed on both: a surgical square cut that cuts backwards point and deep third, followed by a pick-up shot for six over square leg.

At 127 for 1, RR ends the eleventh over.

Apr 25, 2026, 8:37 PM

The range

What is this child incapable of doing? He now uses a reverse-pull to hit Shivang Kumar's fast, into-the-pitch ball over backwards point. recognises that there isn't a fielder behind square. Very intelligent.

A bowler's plans are put under a lot of pressure by such kind of shot. Next, what do you bowl? Sooryavanshi says "thank you" and places the ball over the midwicket boundary after Shivang bowls one in the slot, angling it into his legs. goes from 32 to 87.

Apr 25, 2026, 8:43 PM

Fifty and over

With a beautiful straight drive for four off Nitish Kumar Reddy, Jurel reaches his half-century in 34 balls. With his next legal ball, Reddy gets him by going hard length, getting a little extra bounce, and converting the attempted pull into a skewed catch to provide additional cover.

Riyan Parag, who has had a very quiet season thus far, enters the game when RR is 152 for 4 in 12.4 overs.

Apr 25, 2026, 8:54 PM

Century and out

Vaibhav Sooryavanshi is batting on 103 off 36 balls. He is 15 years old. And we're already so used to watching him bat like this that we almost take it for granted. He gets from 87 to 103 in three balls against his Bihar team-mate Sakib Hussain. Length ball outside leg, swiped over backward square leg for six. Then a slot ball, drilled over mid-off for four. Then full again, not quite as full, and he gets the elevation to launch it over long-on for his 12th six in 36 balls. Incredible.

Shahid Afridi's century off 36 balls reminds me of my naiveté when he scored one off 37 in an ODI in 1996. Sooryavanshi hasn't even reached his fastest IPL hundred yet. Last year, that one came off 35 balls.

He has undoubtedly broken many other records today that I am unable to list here. Before long, you will learn everything there is to know about them. This is passed on by Sampath Bandarupalli:

Fewest innings to score 4 hundreds in men's T20s:

26 - Vaibhav Sooryavanshi
33 - Usman Khan
72 - B Sai Sudharsan
77 - Chris Gayle
88 - Michael Klinger

Then, for some reason, it simply ceases. Sooryavanshi tries to shuffle across and play a charming little reverse-scoop while Sakib goes blockhole. Some will ask him why he plays these shots when he can easily hit them with more traditional methods. I'll simply state that he has the right to do as he pleases. This time, it just doesn't connect.

What an innings. RR is 171 for 3 in 13.4 overs, while he is out for 103 off 37 balls.

Apr 25, 2026, 9:05 PM

York's Cummins Parag

Pat Cummins hit an inch-perfect yorker with just the right amount of tail into the RHB. Parag is unable to hit the ball when he tries to jam his bat down and squeeze it behind square on the off side. In 16.1 overs, RR is 191 for 4.

Apr 25, 2026, 9:11 PM

Everyone else's count

You may be curious how many runs the RR batters who aren't Sooryavanshi have scored thus far. Their total score after the 17th over is 87 off 65 balls.

After a superb Cummins over that yields just four runs, RR are 195 for 4. In the final three, how much can they score?

Apr 25, 2026, 9:22 PM

Ferreira's cameo is ended by Malinga

6 0 4 6 1 1 0 0 1 W 0 4

The 18th and 19th overs are those. In the 19th, Eshan Malinga gave up just one run in four balls to Shimron Hetmyer after Donovan Ferreira got sunk into Sakib Hussain, who struggled to hit his yorkers. He can only hit the full-toss into long-on's hands after missing his yorker to Ferreira. For 33 off 16, he is out.

At the end of the over, Ravindra Jadeja swings a single slot ball to the wide long-on boundary. With one over remaining, RR is 218 for 5.

Apr 25, 2026, 9:30 PM

228 for 6

With 37 balls, Vaibhav Sooryavanshi scored 103. The remaining players and extras scored 125 off 83 balls. RR receives 228 for 6. On a day when Punjab Kings chased down a T20 record 265 with an over remaining, is that sufficient for them? Is it possible for Travishek to accomplish what Sooryavanshi did from one end?

Apr 25, 2026, 9:51 PM

Everything is taking place

0 0 1w 0 6 W 6

Earlier today, Dhruv Jurel scored 51 off 35, which was a difficult innings in many respects. He now drops the first ball to Travis Head. Jofra Archer begins by delivering the ideal ball to the left-hander with rapid, hard length, angling across, without giving breadth, and leaping off the field. Head pokes it, edges it, and Jurel dives to his left to put it down. He managed to get his gloves under it, but he was unable to hang on.

After beating Head's bat twice in the next three balls, one of which is a wide, Archer offers a little breadth before being chopped wide of deep third for six.

Then, as Jurel considers the potential consequence of his error, Archer develops another edge and bowls another flawless ball. This time, it's a simple opportunity that sticks well in the gloves. Squares Head up.

In 0.5 overs, SRH is 7 for 1.

Next, Archer throws an enormous bouncer up to Ishan Kishan. He simply raises his hands to fend it off while toppling over since he reacts slowly. He gets enough of an edge for the bat to soar over the fine leg boundary for six when the bat is in front of his face and his eyes are not on the ball. Archer is really, really hot.

Epidemic of missed catches

I'm not sure how many games there are today, but it must be a ridiculous amount. Alright, Shiva Jayaraman tells us the number: twelve and counting.

In any case, Shimron Hetmyer loses sight of this opportunity from Abhishek Sharma, slashing Nandre Burger with an open blade towards deep third, which is why I chose the word "missed" rather than "dropped" as instructed. Perhaps the ball is emerging from the floodlights. Abhishek scores four runs after he makes a mistake, moves in the wrong direction, then raises his hands to shield his face.

SRH surpasses fifty in the fourth over as both Abhishek and Kishan start to pile on the boundaries.

Update: There have now been 13 missed catches. When Tushar Deshpande bowls in the fifth over, Abhishek gives Ravindra Jadeja of all people an absolute sitter at backwards point, and Jadeja shells it. Six times out of ten, I would have caught it.

The boundaries that Abhishek and Kishan have been hitting have nearly escaped me because I've been so preoccupied with discussing missed catches. By previous T20 norms, they're scoring at a remarkable rate, but we're growing accustomed to it.

The fact that SRH is entering from both ends is crucial. For RR, it did not occur. The individual on the other end was moving much more slowly, but Sooryavanshi was scoring more quickly than either Abhishek or Kishan.

At 89 for 1, SRH ends the powerplay.

Apr 25, 2026, 10:39 PM

50s for Abhishek and Kishan, and a century stand

Just 44 balls are needed to reach the century mark. Unfortunately for RR, their bowlers have provided plenty of breadth, and both Kishan and Abhishek have been merciless on everything that offers it. Some of it has been caused by their strategies, such as Tushar Deshpande's poor line control when trying to go wide of the left-handers' hitting arcs with the field set correctly.

Shortly after, Brijesh Sharma tries to go wide yorker but fails to get wide enough and misses his length to provide a full-toss, and Abhishek reaches his fifty with a beautiful, open-faced slice through point. takes 24 balls to get there.

With a drawn four off  Donovan Ferreira in the tenth over, Kishan also reaches his fifty in twenty-four balls. Ferreira will now bowl part-time offspin after we've already had one Riyan Parag over. For obvious reasons, RR hasn't yet employed Jadeja's left-arm spin.

Apr 25, 2026, 10:41 PM

Ferreira ends the collaboration

Ferreira suffered a costly defeat. Kishan launches him for a straight six after pulling him for a four. However, Abhishek's second try at a straight six is a minor error that results in him being caught at long-off.

In ten overs, SRH is 139 for 2. In the final ten overs, they must score 90.

Apr 25, 2026, 10:46 PM

Finally, Supersub Bishnoi enters the assault

RR added Ravi Bishnoi as an Impact Player and used five front-line bowlers in their bat-first lineup. They should have been able to keep Jadeja away from the left-handers by stacking their bowling in this fashion without having to bowl two part-time overs, but they have only used Bishnoi in the eleventh over, even though he has a history of being a great bowler to the left-handers.

In any case, Kishan and Heinrich Klaasen have taken 16 off it, making it an expensive over. Finally, Jadeja arrives as SRH needs 74 off 54 balls.

Apr 25, 2026, 10:52 PM

The archer reappears and strikes

Additionally, he has Kishan's important wicket. With only 63 off 48, I'm not sure if Kishan needed to play this shot off this bowler in this circumstance, but he backs himself to play these shots, which is why he's as good as he is. Archer's hard length struck the pitch and angled across Kishan, who attempted to draw it from an odd height and line or flat-bat. Ferreira makes a fantastic catch and tumbles forward after running in from long off, but he ends up skying it.

SRH is 166 for 3 in 12.1, while Kishan is out for 74 off 31 balls.

Apr 25, 2026, 11:04 PM

Drop number 15

Think about this doubleheader day. Not this particular match. However, RR finds little solace in that.

With his pace and spring off the pitch, Archer is frightening everyone yet going for less than nine per over. For this same reason, he has a wonderful deep third, and that fielder had reduced a bouncer that Nitish Kumar Reddy had awkwardly fended to a single. Reddy makes another error off another bouncer that swirls in the direction of that fielder, but Brijesh, who is sprinting left, is unable to hold onto the diving attempt.

Reddy finishes the fifteenth over with a beautiful straight shot that beats the bowler and finds the gap to the right of mid-off. In his four overs, Archer ends with 2 for 34. In the final five overs, SRH just needs 41.

Apr 25, 2026, 11:23 PM

Brijesh receives Klaasen and Reddy

There wasn't much he could have done to stop that proper yorker, which followed Reddy with a late reverse inswing. The lbw is essentially plumb, but he can review, which he does. SRH only needs 10 off 16, and he's out for 36 off 18.

Another review, but not a player review, confirmed another wicket off the final ball of the over. Klaasen slugs straight to deep square leg with a full-toss this time. Ball-tracking technology verifies that the full-toss was not higher than waist height when the umpires check its height. For 29 off 24, he is out. In the final two overs, SRH needs nine runs.

Apr 25, 2026, 11:27 PM

With nine balls left, SRH prevails

Sooryavanshi played the night's innings, but Abhishek and Kishan helped SRH go from both ends, but RR's innings was a one-man show. With more over 1.5 hours left, they hunt down 229, which would have been impressive on most days. With one over left, PBKS was seeking a record 265 today.
