IPL 2026 Live Score for RCB vs. DC: Miller wins for DC in a close match

Apr 18, 2026, 7:26 PM

Miller finishes it for DC

Miller finishes it for DC with one ball remaining after taking Shepherd for 6,6,4 with 13 required off four balls. DC defeats RCB for the first time at home and for the second time in the 2026 IPL.

Apr 18, 2026, 7:19 PM

DC has to score 15 in the final over

Rasikh gave up four runs after missing his yorker on the first ball of the 19th over. However, he makes a tremendous comeback, giving up just six runs in his next five balls, leaving DC to need 15 runs in the last over. Yes, Shepherd will bowl the last over.

Apr 18, 2026, 7:14 PM

Stubbs fifty!

Tristan Stubbs played a mature hand for Delhi Capitals
Tristan Stubbs played a mature hand for Delhi Capitals

Stubbs uses 41 balls to reach his fifty. He doesn't rejoice. He is aware that he still has work to do. With a six off a slower bouncer from Bhuvneshwar in the 18th over, he momentarily eased some strain. Bhuvneshwar gives up just 12 runs in the 18th over despite that six. DC requires 25 off of 12 balls. The penultimate over will be bowled by Rasikh Salam Dar. Who is going to bowl the last over? A shepherd?

Apr 18, 2026, 7:08 PM

Hazlewood puts pressure on DC

1 1 1 1 0 0

Josh Hazlewood is bowling the 17th over in RCB's defence. He only allows four runs while mastering his wide and stump yorkers. Hazlewood's final score is 4-0-38-0. DC requires 37 off of 18 balls.

Apr 18, 2026, 7:04 PM

Axar is harmed and retires

Axar retires hurt since DC needs 42 off 25 balls. He limps off the pitch, having had enough. He is assisted off the pitch by Ashutosh and Krunal. Can Miller and Stubbs, the SA duo, now defeat DC?

Apr 18, 2026, 6:53 PM

Stubbs and Axar keep DC in it

Thanks to Stubbs and Axar, DC maintains contact with their asking rate even after Rahul departs. Stubbs has hit a brace of fours down the ground with Rasikh and Suyash. After receiving treatment for cramping, Axar is now back on his feet and testing it by hitting singles and doubles. They haven't yet taken any unnecessary chances.

Apr 18, 2026, 6:30 PM

Krunal's significant achievement

At 103 kph, Krunal Pandya rips one into Rahul. Charging at Krunal and lining him up is difficult. Rahul believes he is ready to take this chance against Krunal now that he is over fifty. However, at far off, he miscues it to Kohli. Rahul was dismissed for 57 off 34 balls. In the eleventh over, DC is 87 for 4.

Apr 18, 2026, 6:04 PM

Rahul overcomes early setbacks

DC is chasing 176 and is 50 for 3 in six overs. Thirty-one of those runs off eighteen balls have been attributed to Rahul. He's already made some amazing photos. similar to using an exaggerated wrist twirl to pluck an off-stump ball from Hazlewood over midwicket for six. similar to Hazlewood's ramping four in the same over.

138 Rahul of Hazlewood scored runs off 78 balls in Twenty20 cricket. He was fired twice.

Rahul then launches a shovelled four between deep midwicket and wide long-on to welcome wristspinner Suyash Sharma into the attack. Rahul flat-bats another four down the ground in the eighth over of the chase after leaping onto the back foot against a not-so-short delivery.

Apr 18, 2026, 5:53 PM

The king of powerplay

Bhuvneshwar claimed 84 wickets during the IPL powerplay. During this phase, Bhuvneshwar has taken more wickets than anyone else in the league. With 72 strikes in 122 innings, Boult is ranked second on the list.

Here's our stats expert, Sampath Bandarupalli: In the 2013 IPL match between PWI and SRH, Bhuvneshwar Kumar took three wickets during the powerplay.

Apr 18, 2026, 5:45 PM

Bhuvneshwar makes a huge impact

A Bhuvneshwar outswinger is attempted by Nair, but it is sliced to deep third. Salt races in, dives forward, and makes an amazing catch as Nair steps out and sends an outside edge to deep third. Two slips welcome Rizvi as Nair leaves for a run-a-ball 5.

Kohli is ecstatic. After playing as an Impact Sub in their last game, he is on the field today.

Another brilliantly pitched outswinger from Bhuvneshwar catches Rizvi's outside edge in the same over. Behind the stumps, Jitesh executes a one-handed screamer. "RCB! RCB! RCB!" chants reverberate around the Chinnaswamy.

Apr 18, 2026, 5:36 PM

Nissanka is trapped by Bhuvneshwar

In the opening over of RCB's defence, Bhuvneshwar scores, and Chinnaswamy immediately follows.

Bhuvneshwar is a sharp inswinger. It bends back in after beginning outside. Nissanka pushes himself across and forward, but he is unable to hit the ball. Three reds are returned by ball-tracking, and RCB's review is successful. The on-field not-out ruling has been reversed.

In response, DC sends Karun Nair to No. 3. In order to support DC against RCB, two Bengaluru youngsters band together. Additionally, there will be no Ashutosh for DC today.

Apr 18, 2026, 5:11 PM

Finch and Rayudu's mid-match show

DC's outstanding death bowling holds RCB to 175 for 8. For the loss of two wickets, Natarajan and Ngidi bowled just 8 runs in the final two overs. On a slower-than-normal Chinnaswamy surface, the spinners Kuldeep and Axar both demonstrated strong defensive abilities to pull RCB from 99 for 2 in ten overs.

Count RCB out at your own risk. Krunal and Suyash are two of their strong defensive spinners. Hazlewood is also a danger on any pitch. Ngidi believes that in the second innings, this surface may provide more turn.

Apr 18, 2026, 5:06 PM

Adding harm to the insult

Ngidi bowls a slower cutter that is wide of off and into the pitch. Jitesh takes a swing at it, launching an outside edge into the air. At short third, the ball swirls away from Mukesh. The ball avoids his outstretched left hand as he dives to his left. Mukesh stumbles and hits the ground face-first. He grips his shoulder as well. Mukesh has already finished his allotted four overs, which is advantageous for DC. DC's problem is that they gave up a boundary after 25 balls.

Apr 18, 2026, 4:58 PM

RCB's chances of a high finish are dashed by Axar

DC takes another wicket thanks to some excellent defensive bowling. Axar conceals it from David's sweeping arc. It turns away from the batter even more. David, however, still has a chance and hits short third with a strong outside edge. David tried to set up Axar after turning down a single the previous ball, but it didn't work out that day. This dismissal may have also been influenced by the surface's slowness.

Shepherd forms to sweep a ball from Kuldeep in the following over, but it is too full for the hit and is trapped lbw for 1 off 4 balls. In the 17th over, RCB falls to 149 for 6.

Apr 18, 2026, 4:33 PM

Patidar is a cheap fall

At the toss, Patidar received a lot of applause. When he hit Mukesh for six over midwicket in the thirteenth over, the applause at the Chinnaswamy intensified. Mukesh goes broader and fuller in the same over—wider than a set of stumps outside off. After losing his form, Patidar rushes out for the ball and nicks it behind to Rahul for eight off four balls. At the Chinnaswamy, silence. In the thirteenth over, RCB is 131 for 4.

Apr 18, 2026, 4:29 PM

David got off to a fast start

0 6 0 1 1 4

Try telling David that this Chinnaswamy pitch is slower than normal. He's easily reached 16 from seven balls. Ngidi bowled the 12th bowler mentioned above. David stood tall and forcefully blasted a length ball past Ngidi when Ngidi bowled it outside off. David then rewards Ngidi with a four through the covers after he misses his yorker outside off. Patidar will soon start cracking as well.

Apr 18, 2026, 4:22 PM

Salt bags from Kuldeep

DC took two wickets in two overs. Salt is dismissed by Kuldeep's defensive prowess and the pitch's slowness.

From left-arm over the wicket, Kuldeep flicks one into the pitch and across Salt. The bat is not hit by the ball. Salt is unable to produce enough elevation or power to clear long-distance. 63 off of 38 balls.

David and Patidar are brought together by the double blow. In this game, neither has yet encountered a ball.

Apr 18, 2026, 4:17 PM

Axar eliminates Padikkal, who is left-handed

In the tenth over, Axar enters the attack and uses his third ball to generate a chance. From around the stumps, Axar launches a long delivery across the left-handed Padikkal. He locates the outside edge, but Rahul's gloves block it. There's no way to eat that up.

Padikkal is unable to clear long-on after Axar makes an error that is too full and outside off. On 18 off 13 balls, DC ended Padikkal's innings.

Apr 18, 2026, 4:05 PM

Padikkal and Salt keep the RCB going

Padikkal creates his own length, shimmies out to Natarajan, and pumps the left-arm seamer back over his head for a six.

At one time, Salt was on 13 off 13 balls. However, he has changed course and is now hitting 45 off 28 balls. Unlike at the Chinnaswamy, the ball isn't sliding onto the bat. Kuldeep has found some grip after bowling just one over. When he encounters Patidar, he will be put to the test.

Salt hits Kuldeep over long-off for six and scores a fifty off thirty balls in the following over.

Apr 18, 2026, 3:54 PM

Ngidi hits the first ball

In the fifth over, RCB quickly surpassed fifty. Ngidi receives the ball from DC and is asked to bowl the last over of the powerplay. And he uses his first ball to strike.

Once more, Kohli displays an aggressive mindset. He tries to go over extra-cover once again or over mid-off when he steps out to Ngidi's first ball. However, Ngidi's wider line interferes with Kohli's shot. The only fielder out on the off side, he holes out to sweeper cover. Kohli was dismissed for 19 from 13 balls. Will you be able to return and play later in the evening?

If Nabi had held onto a challenging opportunity at midwicket, Ngidi may have also had Salt in the same over.

Now is a good moment to review Ashish's Ngidi feature.

Apr 18, 2026, 3:44 PM

Lungi is impressed by Nabi

Nabi recovers nicely, giving up six runs in his second over after giving up 14 runs in his first, including a wide. Before this game, Lungi Ngidi said the following about Nabi.

"I watched all the headlines about him [Nabi] when I learned that he and I were both visiting Delhi. After that, I began reading about him, his achievements during the previous season, and his bat and ball performance. I was therefore thrilled to meet him. This man is currently the talk of Indian cricket, so I wanted to meet him. The men are constantly in the press, but I'm not referring to internationals.

It's okay to see them all the time, but it's the guys competing in Ranji Trophy and other events that have the chance to make a name for themselves in the IPL and on the Indian team. I wanted to meet him after learning that he had performed so well during the previous season. Upon meeting him, I became aware of his exceptional cricket skills.

He can swing the ball both ways, but we were talking about it being able to hit the top of off. He is capable of hitting a yorker. He can hit the ball with the bat and bowls at a fast tempo. In addition to being an accomplished cricket player, he is also a calm, kind, and modest man. I like those kinds of folks. He clearly puts forth a lot of effort. We were teamed up to bowl together as I was standing in the nets. We just seemed to click, I suppose. Even though we don't have much to say to one another, we get along well and communicate effectively.

Additionally, I find it pleasant to interact with cricket players who are attempting to navigate the system. It's normal to hear about the best cricket players, but I like hearing about others who are trying to build a name for themselves or get into the Indian national team."

Apr 18, 2026, 3:33 PM

RCB has left

1 1w 1 4 1 4 1

This is Nabi's first over of the game. Salt lined it up and carved it away for four past point when he found some awayswing. Nabi then used additional awayswing to find Kohli's outside edge, but it failed to slip. Between slip and short third for four, it fled.

He knocks a more forceful four in the following over, which Mukesh bowls. He shimmies out, smacks the ball in the air, and displays an aggressive attitude. For an additional four, he pumps Mukesh over extra cover. In two overs, RCB is 21 for 0.

KL's return to Bengaluru

Ashish Pant writes from Chinnaswamy: KL Rahul of Namma Bengaluru is the exception to the rule that the opposition doesn't receive much affection at Chinnaswamy—it's all reserved for RCB. As the local boy approaches the stadium, he receives an applause that may not be as large as Virat Kohli's. Rahul responds with a gesture of his hand as some of the admirers sing him a happy birthday on his 34th birthday. Then Kohli approaches him and embraces him. With an undefeated 93 last season, Rahul silenced the RCB supporters and celebrated by marking his territory. How would Rahul perform on a field he is so familiar with?

DC chooses to bowl unchanged

Delhi Capitals choose to bowl against Bengaluru's Royal Challengers.

Axar Patel, the captain of the Delhi Capitals, won the toss and decided to bowl in an afternoon match at Chinnaswamy Stadium against Royal Challengers Bengaluru on a sweltering day.

RCB would have chosen to bat first in this day game, according to his rival Rajat Patidar, who was pleased with Axar's choice. Axar predicted that the chasing team would continue to benefit from the Chinnaswamy. Two of the three IPL 2026 matches that have been played at Chinnaswamy Stadium have been won by the chasing team. Earlier this month, RCB defeated Chennai Super Kings by batting first and scoring 250 for 3.

DC had not changed from their April 11 loss to CSK at Chepauk. This meant that despite having a rather quiet debut, Jammu & Kashmir seamer Auqib Nabi kept his place in the squad. Last week in Chennai, he let up 17 runs while bowling just two overs for no wickets. Then, from No. 8, he scored four runs with the bat. In DC's bowl-first XI, he was ranked seventh. When DC chases later in the day, Ashutosh Sharma is most likely to step up from the Impact Subs bench and fill that role.

Additionally, RCB had not changed since their victory over the Lucknow Super Giants. When they bowl, seamer Rasikh Salam Dar will probably replace one of the specialised hitters as the Impact Sub. It's unclear if Virat Kohli, who made his debut as an Impact Sub versus LSG, will make room for Rasikh.

Kohli was off the field during RCB's game against the Mumbai Indians last Sunday and was not included in the starting lineup against LSG. In the run-up to Wednesday's match against LSG, Kohli subsequently revealed that he had been feeling under the weather and had knee pain.

Saturday's match was RCB's 100th at the Chinnaswamy in the IPL, exactly 19 years after they had played their first.

Royal Challengers Bengaluru: 1 Virat Kohli, 2 Phil Salt, 3 Devdutt Padikkal, 4 Rajat Patidar (capt), 5 Jitesh Sharma (wk), 6 Tim David, 7 Romario Shepherd, 8 Krunal Pandya, 9 Bhuvneshwar Kumar, 10 Suyash Sharma, 11 Josh Hazlewood

Impact Subs bench: Rasikh Salam Dar, Venkatesh Iyer, Jordan Cox, , Mangesh Yadav, Vicky Ostwal

Delhi Capitals: 1 Pathum Nissanka, 2 KL Rahul (wk), 3 Sameer Rizvi, 4 Axar Patel(capt), 5 David Miller, 6 Tristan Stubbs, 7 Auqib Nabi, 8 Lungi Ngidi, 9 Kuldeep Yadav, 10 T Natarajan, 11 Mukesh Kumar

Impact Subs bench: Vipraj Nigam, Ashutosh Sharma, Karun Nair, Dushmantha Chameera, Nitish Rana

Will there be another game for Nabi?

The Jammu & Kashmir seamer and batsman Auqib Nabi made a quiet IPL debut against CSK last week. He gave up 17 runs while bowling just two overs for no wickets. Then, in a 23-run loss at Chepauk, he managed just 4 with the bat from No. 8. Is he going to get another game? Nabi was seen recording his run-up at the Chinnaswamy by Ashish Pant. His run-up has also been underlined by Madhav Tiwari, an all-rounder who was removed from the Madhya Pradesh T20 league. Toss will be available soon.

Apr 18, 2026, 2:29 PM

Bengaluru's sweltering day

Ashish Pant reports from the Chinnaswamy Stadium: Despite Bengaluru's extreme heat, with temperatures hovering around 36 degrees, crowds continue to flock to the stadium. Although the stands have not yet been filled, a large house is anticipated. Virat Kohli was greeted with a thunderous cheer as he simply went out for a net. While Rajat Patidar is closely examining the surface, Phil Salt is shadow hitting in the middle of the pitch.

Apr 18, 2026, 2:05 PM

The IPL is 19 years old

The IPL began on this day in 2008 with RCB playing KKR at the Chinnaswamy. Brendon McCullum's 73-ball 158* was a sign of things to come. In IPL 2026, players like Tim David and Rajat Patidar have elevated T20 batting to a completely new level. In 2022, Patidar became a substitute player for RCB and is currently their captain. He guided them to their first IPL championship in 2025 and is currently spearheading their quest for consecutive victories. The IPL is still a source of drama, excitement, and stars. Additionally, this will be RCB's 100th IPL home game. Can DC destroy today's Chinnaswamy party for RCB?

Apr 18, 2026, 1:55 PM

Jitesh Sharma and KL Rahul are in the spotlight

KL Rahul scored 93 runs without being out, won the match against RCB in Bengaluru last year, and said that Chinnaswamy was his speciality. Against the team that represents his native state, he strikes at 144 and averages 71.1. There is only one minor issue. He has been removed twice in nine innings due to legspin since IPL 2025. A strike rate of 101 indicates that facing the bowler isn't the cause of these mistakes. Since 75% of Rahul's dismissals this year have occurred before he has faced 10 balls, RCB might attempt pairing him with Suyash Sharma, ideally while Rahul is still early in his innings.

Jitesh Sharma hasn't had much success because RCB's top four are performing so well. This season, the wicketkeeper batter has only encountered 27 balls. He is constantly in the spotlight since he is one of the most vocal cricket players. In addition, he serves as the team's backup, providing Tim David and Romario Shepherd with a later point of entry so they can enter and perform well.

Apr 18, 2026, 1:17 PM

Team news: DC needs to make choices

With its best XII, RCB defeated LSG with 29 balls and five wickets remaining in their most recent match. If all 12 players are healthy, they will probably stick with the same lineup.

Royal Challengers Bengaluru (probable): 1 Phil Salt, 2 Virat Kohli, 3 Devdutt Padikkal, 4 Rajat Patidar (capt), 5 Jitesh Sharma (wk), 6 Tim David, 7 Romario Shepherd, 8 Krunal Pandya, 9 Bhuvneshwar Kumar, 10 Josh Hazlewood, 11 Rasikh Salam, 12 Suyash Sharma

The Delhi Capitals must once more decide between Ashutosh Sharma down the order and Nitish Rana at No. 3. They might also be considering the advantages and disadvantages of playing Auqib Nabi instead of Vipraj Nigam.

Delhi Capitals (probable): 1 Pathum Nissanka, 2 KL Rahul (wk), 3 Nitish Rana/Ashutosh Sharma, 4 Sameer Rizvi, 5 Axar Patel, 6 David Miller, 7 Tristan Stubbs, 8 Vipraj Nigam/Auqib Nabi, 9 Lungi Ngidi, 10 Kuldeep Yadav, 11 T Natarajan, 12 Mukesh Kumar

The man in the middle overs

The IPL 2026 powerplay batting is a must-watch event. Any T20's final overs are worth seeing. Sometimes the middle is meaningless. When Rajat Patidar arrived, everything was altered.

This year, he has a new appearance, resembling the hero from Dhurandhar with long, flowing hair. That would be sufficient for the majority of individuals. You awaken. You give your teeth a brushing. You examine yourself in the mirror. You narrow your eyes. You also pass for Ranveer Singh. Patidar aspires to do it and play cricket at a level that is uncommon.

This IPL, when the bowling team has five fielders on the boundary, the average strike rate of a batsman in overs seven through sixteen is 151.39. The strike rate for Patidar is 223.86. He is nearly 1.5 times superior than what the game is allowing. In the middle overs, he has hit eighteen sixes. Together, his teammates have scored 17.

Patidar's performance against Axar Patel and Kuldeep Yadav, two of the nation's top spinners and recent world champions, is what makes the IPL unique.
