Green's first over of the IPL season is this one. When he hit Shami over long-on for six, relief was evident on his face. Now, as he dismisses Pant with his second ball, relief gives way to excitement. Outside, he hits a lifter that is shoulder-high. Carl Crowe, the spin bowling coach at LSG, says: "Four days prior to the game, bowling coach Bharat Arun and Shami worked on a new-ball variation." He dismissed Abhishek with that exact ball. For all of us cricket players, regardless of age, I believe it's never too late to pick up a new skill. The fact that he learned that talent in just four days, used it in a game, and took a wicket is evidence of both Mohammed Shami's mentality and Bharat's instruction.
